⛳️ GOLF CANCELLED TODAY 🌧️
Unfortunately, due to the amount of rain we’ve received, golf has been cancelled at Roxby Downs Golf Club today. 🌧️💦
We know there will be a few disappointed golfers out there who were looking forward to getting out for a hit, but the decision has been made with the course in mind. ❤️
The last thing we want to do is head out there while the course is saturated and cause damage that could take weeks to repair.
Our course has had a lot of hard work, time and effort put into it by our volunteers, and we want to protect it and keep it in the best possible condition. 🌱⛳️
Sometimes the best thing we can do for our golf course is stay off it and let it dry out! 😉
Thanks everyone for understanding — Mother Nature wins this round! 🌧️😂

⛳️ ROXBY DOWNS GOLF CLUB IS LOOKING FOR HOLE CAPTAINS! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️
Want to take a little ownership of a hole and help keep our course looking its best? This is your chance! 🙌
We’re looking for Hole Captains to put their hand up and look after a hole throughout the season.
🌿 What does it involve? • Keeping an eye on your hole and giving it a tidy-up when needed
• Picking up rubbish and keeping the area around the hole looking neat
• Helping identify anything that needs attention
• Taking a little pride in “your” hole and helping keep our course looking great! ❤️
⚠️ A couple of important rules: You cannot change the layout of the hole or make any major changes or improvements without speaking to the committee first.
Any major changes, alterations or improvements must be brought to the committee for approval before any work is carried out.
It’s a great way to give back to our club, have a bit of ownership and help make our course the best it can be! 👌
🏌️‍♂️ So, who wants to claim a hole?
Why not get together with your mates, pick a hole and take it on together! 👊 It could be a great excuse to catch up, have a bit of a laugh and give something back to the club at the same time.
Put your hand up and let us know which hole you’d like to look after!

What a fantastic day on the course for our Stroke Monthly Medal, proudly sponsored by the Roxby Downs Golf Club.

We had a great turnout with 26 players enjoying a glorious day of golf, including one team that teed off early due to night shift commitments. It's fantastic to see the dedication of our members and that they're still able to get out and enjoy a round despite their work schedules.

The weather certainly turned it on for us today – perfect golfing conditions! ☀️

Now, let's talk about Nearest the Pin on Hole 2... 🤔😂

Unfortunately, no one managed to claim it! Not even our ladies or juniors could find the green in two shots. We're not quite sure what game everyone was playing today, but that's golf! We have every confidence you'll all do better next week. 😉

The Chase the Joker jackpot is now sitting at an incredible $1,827! 💰
Don't forget to bring some cash with you next Sunday and grab your tickets.
🎟️ Tickets are just $2 each, and you could be the lucky one to find the Joker and take home the jackpot!

Roxby Downs, always coming together to support our own.

It’s a long road to recovery so if you can donate please do, no amount is too little and all will help the financial stress for them and their beautiful families so they can focus on their health, getting better and eachother. I get that things are tough for a lot of people but even a share will go along way and help them too.

🏆⛳ Congratulations to Our 2026 Open Championship Winners! ⛳🏆
A huge congratulations to all of our winners and placegetters from the Roxby Downs Golf Club Open Championships, held over the weekend!
What a fantastic two days of golf, with some outstanding scores, great sportsmanship, and plenty of laughs shared both on and off the course. It was wonderful to see so many golfers come together to support one of the biggest events on our golfing calendar.
This year we tried something a little different! Instead of all grades playing Stroke, we changed the format to give everyone the opportunity to compete in a way that suited their division.

From all the positive feedback we received, it seems this new format was a real hit! It created some great competition across all grades, and we're pretty sure this could become the new format for our Club Championships and Open Championships going forward.

What a fantastic day at the Roxby Downs Golf Club! We had an excellent turnout with 27 players taking to the course, and the weather couldn't have been any better. A huge thank you to our Captain for putting that order in! ☀️😄
We'd also like to extend a warm welcome to our two newest members, Matt and Robbie, with Robbie joining us as one of our junior members. It's great to have you both as part of the club!
If you know anyone who's interested in giving golf a go or becoming a member, we'd love to have them join us. New members are always welcome, whether you're an experienced golfer or just starting out.
