Man of the Match 🔥

Our captain put in another outstanding performance for the Rosewood Roosters Affordable Modular Buildings C Grade boys, earning a well-deserved Man of the Match.

Zac’s game management was first class, leading the team with confidence and keeping the boys composed in the biggest moments.

His tough defence and willingness to put his body on the line gave the Roosters momentum time and time again.

The best leaders don’t just wear the captain’s badge they inspire those around them, and Zac did exactly that from the first whistle to the last.

A captain’s performance in every sense of the word. Congratulations, Zac! 🐓👏

A massive shoutout to Cody Adams for an outstanding performance in the #4 jersey for the Rosewood Roosters Affordable Modular Buildings C Grade boys!

Cody was an absolute weapon out wide, running hard all afternoon and constantly putting the team on the front foot. His determination in defence, strong carries and relentless effort made him a standout from the opening whistle to the final siren.

Whether it was shutting down attacking plays, breaking tackles or doing the tough one-percenters that don't always show on the scoreboard, Cody's commitment never wavered. He played with grit, heart and pride every single minute.

A thoroughly deserved Man of the Match performance for our #4 a true Rooster who left everything out on the field. 👏

Some people coach a football team but Sam and Bec built a family…

To Coach Sam

Thank you for every late night, every tough conversation, every belief you had in this group long before they believed in themselves, you knew they could be something special. You never asked the boys to give anything you weren't willing to give first and taught them that wearing the Roosters jersey is about more than football, it's about respect, loyalty, resilience and standing beside your mates no matter what.

And to our Mumager, Bec… where do we even begin?

Thank you for being the heartbeat of this team. The woman with the snacks, the magnesium, the jerseys, the endless washing even if someone left their un**es in the jersey bag, the reminders, the hugs after losses and the biggest cheers after every win. You weren't just their manager you became everyone's second mum. You looked after every player as if they were your own.

This season didn't end with the result we dreamed of, but it ended with something far more important a team that became brothers, and a club that became family.

From the team dinners after games where wins were celebrated and losses were forgotten together, muddy boots, endless laughs in the sheds, celebrating life's biggest moments together and the friendships that became family.

Thank you for loving this team so fiercely. Thank you for sacrificing your time, your weekends and so much of yourselves for our boys and for making this club feel like home.

You'll always be Coach and Mumma Coach to us.

Full Time ❤️

Unfortunately, we didn't get the result we were chasing.

Our Roosters went down 26–24, but they certainly didn't go down without a fight. The boys showed heart, grit and determination right until the final whistle, and we couldn't be prouder of the effort they put in.

While our 2026 season comes to an end, there's plenty to be proud of and so much to build on. If there's one thing this season has taught us, it's just how strong we are as one. Somewhere along the way, we stopped being just a football club and became a family. From Wednesday night family dinners at the Walloon Hotel, to celebrating each other's biggest milestones and standing beside one another through every high and low, this club is about so much more than 80 minutes of football.

To our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and every supporter who wore the red and white with pride thank you. While our 2026 season is over, our spirits are high.

Here's to bigger and better in 2027.

Once a Rooster, always a Rooster.

* The boys play better when you’re there (we're claiming it anyway).

* Screaming "UP THE CHOOKS!" is free therapy.
