Introducing Gippsland Wellness Co πŸŽ‰

I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I've expanded my business and opened the doors to my new purpose-built allied health clinic!! Its still a work in progress, but ready for clients to start their journey!

For those that don't know me, I'm Jaclyn - an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with over 15 years in the health and fitness industry. I've worked in all aspects of health, including time at elite sport all the way from local to national level, in private practice and community health with elderly and chronic conditions, with NDIS clients who experience complex chronic conditions, I've worked at local gyms and everything in between. I'm passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger and more confident in their lives.

Opening this clinic has allowed me to open more spots for appointments, with sessions now currently available on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as Friday mornings! I currently offer exercise physiology sessions and clinical reformer pilates, with specialised groups beginning in the near future.

This has been a long-time dream, and I can't wait to share it with you all!

NDIS PERSONAL TRAINING: Did you know a third of my client's sessions are NDIS funded?

Exercising is not only great for improving overall fitness, but also assists in making activities of daily living (ADLs) easier. Research shows that through exercise, individuals with an Intellectual Disability may demonstrate an improved level of intellectual functioning, behaviour and physical health. Regular exercise sessions can help those with chronic conditions improve their stamina and muscle strength, and decrease perception of pain. An important bonus is that regular exercise can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improves mood, and promote positive general feelings of well-being.

Having my Cert 3 & 4 in fitness, a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, studying a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology, and 10+ years of personal training experience, I have the knowledge needed to get the most out of my clients within their session.

I recently got asked why I want to work in this industry πŸ€” and the answer was pretty simple, to assist people to become a healthier and happier version of themselves.

Whether I’m a manager, personal trainer, teammate, friend or partner, the goals are the same:

I need your help! I'm ramping up my socials and would like to know what you would like me to post, share advice on, show on my stories, etc. I don't follow trends, I'm not going to post just to get higher in the algorithm - I want to post relevant, interesting content for YOU!

2023 will look similar to 2022 if you keep doing the same things! Now is the time to channel who you want to be and act accordingly.

Simple things I'm adding into my routine:
- Journalling
- Stretching
- Home cooking (no more take-aways!)
- Adding smoothies into my weekly meals (I LOVEEEE a smoothie + they help my hit my protein and get in my fruit daily but alway find excuses to not make them!)
- Moving my body for 30mins daily
- 8am-8pm phone time (so I can switch off!)
- 1 activity that fills my cup on weekends πŸ₯°

2023: The year of self-development, levelling up & new beginnings!

What is in store:
πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“ Studying my Masters of Exercise Physiology at CSU (whilst still working full-time at Fitness 4U Traralgon and PTing - I'm not going anywhere yet!)
🏠 Building our dream home and home gym (& hopefully move in by end of 2023!)
🏐 Return to competitive Netball at TTU!
πŸ’ͺ Bring new programs to JQ Performance (with 1 almost completed!)
++ A few hidden gems that will be huge if everything goes to plan πŸ‹
