Woollahra Council are very determined to reduce the availability of Tennis courts at LPTC, by awarding a new lease to a new operator (who has 14 venues under management).

Woollahra Council did not consult the community in any way: why not?

Woollahra Council ignored to 100+ emails sent to them objecting to that outcome: why?

Woollahra Council ignored the 3,000+ people who signed petitions objecting to that outcome: why?

NSW Minister for Local Govt Ron Hoenig MP, is now the final hurdle for Woollahra Council to have LPTC change to 9 x Pickleball courts plus 4 permanent Tennis courts.

Hopefully Ron Hoenig MP will listen to the community, and will force Woollahra Council to terminate the Tender until such time as proper community consultation has taken place.

If you like or love tennis (player, ex-players, watch on tv, etc) than now is the time to stand up and implore Woollahra Council to show every Council in Aus that Tennis Courts are vital to our community and we cannot afford to lose more.

Right now Woollahra Council is proposing to re-purpose 2 of the 6 Tennis Courts at Lyne Park Tennis Centre to PIckleball.
It this the Trojan Horse for Councils (including Woollahra Council) to keep reducing the number of tennis courts??

Lyneparktenniscentre is a PUBLIC facility open to everyone.
We welcome groups from all areas of our community because tennis facilities like LPTC offer something for everyone.
We proudly host many The Social Serve events every year, along with many others.
So if you live in the Woollahra Council area or surrounds, then please get and get involved even if you are not a tennis person.
