“The IFA Youth League allows us to stay with our players longer and continue building their development journey.”

🗣️We caught up with Leonardo Pinto from Ellë Football Academy to hear his thoughts on the significance of the IFA Youth League and what it means for long-term player development.

⚽️Leonardo reflected on the longer term vision of creating a genuine 11v11 Youth League platform that gives academies the opportunity to develop players over a longer period within one consistent, professional environment.

🛡️For Ellë Football Academy, development goes far beyond technical ability alone. It’s about building players through every stage of the journey; from 7v7 to 9v9 and eventually into full-sided football, while also shaping character, discipline and human values along the way.

📈Leonardo believes strongly in the importance of players working with one academy for as long as possible, allowing academies to create continuity, trust and a stronger developmental foundation before players eventually progress to the next level of the game.

🚀The IFA Youth League now provides academies with the platform to continue that process into the older age groups, creating an environment where players can be challenged, educated and developed consistently over many years.

🏟️Leonardo highlighted the quality of the environment being created across the league, with academy directors, coaches and parents all contributing to a culture focused on genuine player development and healthy competition.

⚔️As the inaugural season continues, Leonardo believes this is only the beginning of something special with the standards, professionalism and overall level of the competition set to continue rising year after year.

🔥For academies like Ellë Football Academy, the opportunity to continue working with players they’ve developed since U7s and U8s is what makes the Youth League so exciting.

Because at the heart of it all…

❤️ Developing players is the passion that drives everything they do.

“The IFA Youth League creates a professional environment and a real pathway for our players”

🗣️We caught up with Jacob Muñoz from to get his thoughts on the importance of the IFA Youth League and what it provides for developing players.

⚽️Having been part of IFA for a number of years, Jacob highlighted the significance of now having an 11v11 platform for older age groups — giving academies the ability to provide a clearer and more complete development pathway.

✅ Structure.
✅ Discipline.
✅ Commitment.

🛡️For Villarreal Sydney Academy, the transition into full-sided football is about more than just competition. It’s about preparing players within an environment that reflects the standards, expectations and demands of the senior game.

📈As players progress through the pathway, the game requires greater understanding, stronger habits and the ability to perform consistently within high-level football environments.

🚀The IFA Youth League provides academies and players with the opportunity to compete in a structured, professional setting against strong opposition on a consistent basis.

🏟️From the quality of the facilities to the level of competition, environments like the IFA Youth League are helping create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of Australian Football players.

🛣️And for academies like Villarreal Sydney Academy, it’s another important step in building a pathway that players can genuinely believe in.
