NSW High Performance Centre

NSW High Performance Centre Established in 1985, The High Performance Centre was originally created to ‘underpin’ the Australian Institute of Sport program in Canberra.

In 2004 the program evolved to offer programs through to international level. The HPC does this through their feeder programs, partnerships and initiatives with the community. In 2006 the HPC had it's first taste of international success, with Prashanth Sellathurai producing a pommel horse routine at the 2006 World Championships that earned him the silver medal. He has since gone on to collect a h

andful of world championship medals, commonwealth games gold and international recognition for his style and technique. At the end of 2013 the HPC program moved into its new complex based at Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre in Rooty Hill. With arguably the leading facility in Australian gymnastics and a coaching team dedicated to seeing each athlete reach their full potential, The HPC is the new standard of Elite Gymnastics within Australia. The NSW High Performance Centre will be holding a Talent Identification Day for young male athletes aged 6 - 9 who are serious about working towards and through the high performance pathway in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics.
 
Follow in the footsteps of our past and current world championship, commonwealth games and Australian National Team gymnasts who started their career as juniors in our program.
 
Our program is specifically designed to develop athletes from the start of their career, to the end and beyond all in one place within a world class gymnastics facility.  Train alongside athletes who worked their way up to international level and be inspired of what is possible.

🇦🇺💙A successful week for the NSW HPC and team NSW at last week’s Australian Gymnastics Championships.

After claiming the national title in the team final our athletes took on the All-Around Final with Flynn Wilson and Elijah Wu named National All-Around champion in the Level 9u 15 & 18 competition, Hinata Kebaya also took home the bronze medal in the senior international all-around final.

Day 3 of competition saw Ewen, Elijah & Hinata join forces with three NSW WAG athletes winning the inaugural Mixed Team Championship. Last day of competition saw our guys take on apparatus finals, resulting in 19 apparatus medals.

We are thrilled to announce that Ben Foster and Tru Hagens have been selected onto the 2026 Commonwealth Games team of five heading to Glasgow, Scotland next month. A special mention to our head coach Hongwei who has been appointed travelling coach.

This is a monumental achievement for our athletes, coaches and program we couldn’t be prouder. A big thank you to our coaching team for their endless support and guidance🙏

On his senior debut, Tru has secured a fourth-place finish in the 🇭🇷 Osijek pommel horse final with a 13.966, narrowly missing out on bronze. The NSW HPC is incredibly proud of Tru’s remarkable achievement.
