SENIOR PRE-SEASON TRAINING 🏏🔴⚫

Romsey Cricket Club’s senior pre-season is getting underway!

Our upcoming indoor training sessions will give players the opportunity to get back into the swing of things and prepare for the season ahead, before we head to Albury for a practice match the weekend of the 19th September.

All senior players are encouraged to get along and be part of a strong start to the season.

🏏 The countdown to the 2026/27 season is officially on! 🔴⚫

We can’t wait to get back to Romsey Park for another exciting season of cricket, and there’s plenty happening around the club.

First up, we’re thrilled to welcome back our leadership team, with James Collins (President), Jake East (Vice President), Tim McCarthy (Secretary) and Ruth Collins (Treasurer) leading the way once again.

A huge thank you also goes to Jason and Lisa Day, who are stepping away from the committee after many years of incredible service. The time, energy and passion they’ve given to our club has made a lasting impact, and we’re so grateful for everything they’ve done. ❤️🙏

We’re excited to welcome Nathan Hoy and Jed Richardson onto the committee for the first time, joining returning members Alison Alford, Amy Goodwin, Aaron Paterson, Matt Hoyt and Chris Marienfeld. Our committee is made up entirely of volunteers, and we’re lucky to have such a passionate group working behind the scenes to keep our club thriving. A special mention to Alison and Amy, who will continue doing a fantastic job leading our junior program.

There’s also some familiar news on the coaching front, with Ben Way returning for his 10th consecutive season as Senior Coach. Ben’s passion for the club and commitment to developing our players has been a huge part of our success, and we’re excited to have him back.

On the field, we’ll once again field four senior teams, along with a strong junior program from Under 11s through to Under 17s. Our Friday night girls’ competition is also back, providing a fun, welcoming and supportive place for girls up to 18 years of age to play cricket, learn new skills and make great friends.

Whether you’re an experienced cricketer, picking up a bat for the very first time, looking to volunteer, or simply want to be part of a fantastic community club, we’d love to have you involved!!
