What a busy semester 1. 23 regional trials with over 1600 students trialling. 30 South West teams attending either state championships or Darling Downs Regional trials! With our last team (11 - 12 Boys Rugby League heading away this week).

Semester 2 will be just as busy. With many more regional teams heading to state championships.

The following regional trials will be conducted during Term 3
10 - 12 Years Cricket - Roma - 14 July
10 - 19 Years Track & Field - Chinchilla 27 & 28 August

Please note to attend a regional trial students must have attended and been selected into their respective district team. Please see your school's sport coordinator for more information around upcoming district trials relating to the above events.

13 - 16 Girls Futsal regional trial - Change of Pathway

Due to the number of nominations for 13 - 16 Girls Futsal these students will now go directly through to the Darling Downs trial. These students are not required to attend the regional trial in Roma on Wednesday the 17th of June. Students will receive the paperwork for the next level from their schools next week.

This information has been communicated directly to nominated students schools.

The 13 - 16 Boys Futsal trials will still progress as planned.

Change of Pathway

Due to low nominations for 11 – 12 Girls Rugby League the pathway for this sport has been changed.

This means the regional trial (that was to be held in Tara on Thursday 4 June) will no longer be occurring.

Instead students will now trial through the DD regional trial on Wednesday 10th of June. The venue now is Highfields Sports and Recreation Park, 220 Barracks Road, Highfields. With the trial running from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 2 teams to attend the state championship will be selected from this trial.

As this trial is now being held in conjunction with Darling Downs School Sport. Parents will need to pay the regional trial levy for their child to attend. This payment can be made at https://rssshop.education.qld.gov.au/darlingdowns . When paying the levy please follow the format shown in the image when entering your childs details.

Students will need to bring their regional trial permission form with them on the day.
