Versatility Dance Centre is a brand-new dance studio opening on the Eastern Shore in 2021! VDC is run by a local dance teacher and early childhood professional, Hannah McCullagh. VDC prides themselves on running a studio that is accepting of all dancers and is a friendly, encouraging, and fun environment for young dancers to grow and flourish. You will love our non-competitive classes for students

with no prior training as well as competitive classes to enable further skill development. Our highly trained and experienced staff have a comprehensive knowledge of Anatomy and Kinesiology to ensure a training that is based on proper execution and injury prevention. Class size is limited so each student receives individualized attention. Our classes are relaxed and accommodating, as we feel dancers flourish best in a fun, nurturing environment. Whether you are an aspiring or an accomplished dancer, or just looking for a fun activity, we can guarantee you will be made to fell like part of the family from the moment you walk in the door. This week in Student Teacher Training 💙

Level 2 - Finding Your Teacher Voice

This week our Level 2 Student Teachers are learning how great teachers communicate with children in different situations.

They’re exploring how to give clear directions, use tone and body language effectively, and know when a firmer voice is actually needed.

One of our biggest lessons… Being a confident leader doesn’t mean being the loudest or strictest person in the room.

It’s learning to be kind, clear and confident, while being someone children listen to and respect.

Our 2026 End of Year Concert is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our VDC family! 🩵

📍 Mount Nelson Theatre

This year we’ll have:
🤍 A Mini Concert featuring our youngest dancers
🤍 A Big Concert featuring our older students

Every VDC dancer takes part, making it such a special day to celebrate everything they’ve achieved throughout the year.

Our concert is all about confidence, friendships and giving our dancers a fun, supportive and low-pressure opportunity to show their family and friends what they’ve been working on in class.

Families can find all of the concert information on our concert website, which has been shared via email, posted in our private Facebook group and pinned at the top of your class WhatsApp group.

We honestly can’t wait to share our favourite day of the year with you all! 🤍

In honour of Father’s Day, we asked some of our preteens and teens to share the things their dads, mums and special people hear because they have a dancer in the family… and their answers absolutely cracked us up!

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads and special people who support our dancers, listen to the endless dance stories, drive them to classes and cheer them on 💙🤍

Just look at the difference in 7 year old Savvie’s split jump in her jazz solo!

At VDC, we’re passionate about helping every dancer work towards their own goals. There’s nothing more exciting than looking back and seeing progress like this.

This incredible improvement didn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of Savvie’s hard work, consistency and determination, along with the support of an amazing team around her.

Savvie trains three days a week, including technique, conditioning, acro and dance classes, and also puts in plenty of work at home.

A huge thank you to Miss Maddy, Miss Hannah, Miss Adi and Miss Mia for everything you pour into our dancers. It really does take a team. 🤍

We are so proud of you, Savvie! 🩵
