As we head into the school holidays, we're excited to be offering a FREE League Stars Holiday Clinic at Brothers St Brendan's Rugby League Club (Kookaburra Park), Rocklea.

See the flyer below for key event information. Additional details regarding clinic formats for each age group can be found underneath.

Designed for children aged 5–12 years, this fun and inclusive full-day clinic is all about keeping kids active, building confidence and making new friends. Whether your child has never played rugby league before or is simply looking for a fun day of games and activities, everyone is welcome.

Ages 5–9 | SKILLS Clinic
A full day of active fun featuring games, challenges, obstacle courses, League Tag and creative indoor activities. Children will have the opportunity to learn new skills, stay active and enjoy a positive team environment.

Ages 10–12 | GAME Clinic
A full day of team-based games and activities, including League Tag, skill challenges, trivia and team-building sessions. Participants can register with friends or join a team on the day, making it easy to meet new people and have fun.

Whether they’re brand new to flag football or looking to take their game to the next level, our Youth Programs are the perfect way to develop skills, learn the game and have plenty of fun along the way! 🙌

Each program includes 8 weeks of training with professional and experienced flag football coaches, plus:

💚💙 PLAYER OF THE YEAR 💙💚

Another one for the Saints! 🏆

Our very own Spencer Madden, Simo’s 2026 Open 3 Southside Player of the Year.

The prodigy of Coach Barney and an absolute specimen in his own right. 💪

Tough, relentless, fearless and fiercely loyal. Spencer only knows one way to play footy, at 100%.

It doesn’t matter how big the bloke opposite him is. He’ll make the tackle, take the tough carry, get back up and go again.

That old school mongrel, heart and determination played a huge part in this side’s incredible run to Premiership glory.

Even after being carried from the field in the Grand Final, Spence was still on the sideline desperate to get back out there and driving his teammates home.

That tells you everything you need to know about him. 💚💙

Congratulations Spence! An incredible individual recognition in an unforgettable year.

💚💙 TEAM OF THE YEAR 💙💚

What an incredible way to finish our 2026 season!

A massive thank you to Simo for another phenomenal season of coverage and support of grassroots Rugby League and, in particular, our Saints family.

Simo has been there throughout the year, home and away, capturing the moments, telling the stories and giving our players and our club recognition that means so much. The time and effort you put into community footy certainly doesn’t go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

To have our Open Men named your 2026 Team of the Year is something pretty special. 🏆

From finishing fourth to fighting their way through the finals and bringing the Open 3 Southside Premiership home to Kookaburra Park, what a season from our very own “Dad’s Army”.

But what we love most about this write up is that it captures exactly what Saints is about. Mateship, resilience, respect, culture and playing for the people beside you.

We couldn’t be prouder of our boys, coaching and support staff, and everyone who stood behind them throughout the season.

Thank you again, Simo, for telling their story and for everything you continue to do for Rugby League in our community.

They may have been bruised, battered, strapped and taped, but they just kept marching.
