What a day for our region!

Thank you to everyone who came through the gates for the very first event. The energy, the excitement, the sense of occasion - you brought the # venue to life from the very first moment.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, event staff, and all of our community partners who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it happen. This was a true community effort.

We were also proud to welcome the Aurizon Stadium team, local legends Cameron Munster and Harry Grant, along with Queensland Minister for Sport Tim Mander and local member Donna Kirkland to mark the occasion.

Aurizon Stadium is open… and we are just getting started.

Aurizon is proud to announce it has become the naming rights partner of Rockhampton’s newly redeveloped Browne Park, with the venue officially rebranded as Aurizon Stadium.

This partnership reflects Aurizon’s deep and long‑standing connection to Central Queensland, with the Rockhampton region playing a critical role in our operational footprint.

We thank the management team at Browne Park for their support with this partnership, and we look forward to the first event at the redeveloped stadium happening tomorrow, with the Central Queensland Capras taking on the Burleigh Bears in the Hostplus Cup.
