FRCA would like to announce that Luke De Costa, having met all other requirements, will undertake his Prize Fight for the rank of Scholar on 27/5/26. As such, he will face his peers & fellow students in a repeated series of bouts, offering them choice of weapon, over the course of an hour while taking no rest. This having been done and having demonstrated good skill at arms, sportsmanship & mental fortitude he will be awarded the rank of Scholar within Fitzroy River College of Arms. Any fencers visiting Rockhampton during this time are welcome to attend.

Congratulations to all of our fencers who competed at Swordplay 2025 over the weekend. We had three top 8 finishes (Mostly Harrison), and more importantly had an awesome weekend. The level of both the competition and the sportsmanship on display was amazing. Can't wait until next year :) Thanks to Ross for putting on another great event!

Congratulations to team FRCA for a strong performance at Swordfight last weekend in a very tough field. Special congratulations to Helen, who came third in the URG division and to Harrison who finished in the top ten for both rapier (10th) and sidesword (7th). Well done all!
