Congratulations to Year 12 student Cooper, who wrapped up his school sport swimming career in outstanding fashion.

Representing Queensland at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Melbourne, Cooper delivered an incredible performance in the pool, claiming gold in the 1500m freestyle and 400m freestyle, silver in the 800m freestyle, and bronze in the 200m freestyle.

To finish his school sport career as an Australian champion in two events is an exceptional achievement and a testament to the dedication and hard work he has put into his swimming over many years.

Congratulations, Cooper. We know big things are ahead for you in the pool ❤️💙🔥

Congratulations to Year 10 student Logan, who represented Queensland at the National Hockey Championships in Melbourne.

Logan and her team delivered an outstanding tournament, remaining undefeated throughout the competition before claiming the gold medal with a Grand Final victory.

Congratulations to Year 9 student Ace, who recently represented Queensland North at the Under 16 National Basketball Championships in Bendigo.

If you’ve walked past the courts before school or during lunch, chances are you’ve seen Ace out there with a basketball in hand. Whether he’s having a shoot around with his mates or challenging anyone who’s keen for a game, he’s rarely far from the court.

Representing at a national level is a huge achievement.

Congratulations to Year 9 student Quinlan (13 to 15 Years Boys) and staff member Jeremy Harmsworth (13 to 15 Years Boys Manager), who recently represented Capricornia at the Hockey State Championships in Brisbane.

We also congratulate Year 12 student Brayden and Year 11 student Alfred, who competed in the 16 to 19 Years Boys division.

Congratulations to our Junior Girls AFL team, who represented Emmaus College at the AFLQ Schools Cup North Queensland Championships in Townsville.

The girls progressed through to the grand final, where they faced a strong Ryan Catholic College side, going down 69 to 20. They gave it their all, had plenty of fun and represented Emmaus College exceptionally well.

A sincere thank you to our staff and coaches for their support and for giving our students the opportunity to represent Emmaus College at this event.

Our 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 mixed Oztag teams proudly represented Emmaus College at the Queensland All Schools Oztag Championships on the Sunshine Coast over the weekend.

Competing against some of the best school teams from across Queensland, our students embraced the opportunity to challenge themselves, build on their skills and proudly represent the College.

Our 7/8 team finished with two wins from five matches, the 9/10 team recorded three wins, two draws and one loss, while the 11/12 team finished with one win from five matches.

A special thank you to our coaches and support staff for their time, commitment and encouragement throughout the carnival. Your support made this opportunity possible for our students.

Emmaus College was proudly represented by nine rowers at the CQ Rowing Titles in Bundaberg over the school holidays, delivering some outstanding performances across the two day regatta.

Day one saw the single sculls take to the water, with Sonny, Beau and Lorraine all progressing through their heats and semi finals to qualify for their respective finals. Several other Emmaus rowers also performed strongly, narrowly missing out on final berths after competitive racing.

Lorraine and Jorja combined in the Year 11 Double Scull to claim a silver medal, while our Year 10 Quad Scull and Year 8 Double Scull fought hard and finished just outside the medals.

Day two brought more success, with our Year 10 boys progressing to the finals of both the Double Scull and Coxed Four, narrowly missing out on medal contention after some determined racing. Lorraine and Jorja also teamed up in a composite Year 11 Coxed Quad Scull, with Sonny taking on coxswain duties, to claim first place.

Congratulations to all of our rowers on a fantastic regatta. We also extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated coaches, staff and families for their continued support of our rowing program.

Congratulations to Ben and Nate, who also represented Central Queensland in the Under 13 Bushrangers team at the Queensland Country Championships during the first week of the school holidays.

The team finished third overall, adding another fantastic representative achievement for Emmaus.
