All roads lead back to STRENGTH TRAINING, especially for smart stainable fat loss…

But this the is polar OPPOSITE from what we’ve been indoctrinated into believing about losing fat, getting lean and maintaining a healthy weight.

So what’s the deal? Because doesn’t a moderate intensity cardio workout burn more calories than a progressive strength training workout?

Yes it does. But that’s not the entire story…

While cardio burns more calories in session, it has limited “post exercise metabolic benefit” when compared to strength training, which increases the after burn for several hours after a strength workouts ends, and overall burns more calories, period.

So an ideal training program will emphasize strength training a minimum of 3x per week focusing a primary goal of developing muscle and strength. In addition…

Cardiovascular training should be incorporated 2x per week minimum for heart health, recovery, and yes of course, additional workload and caloric output.

Stop asking yourself the question, “Is cardio better than strength training for fat loss?” And instead, find a smart and sustainable way to prioritize both forms of training for best results across the board, especially for FAT LOSS.

If you keep waking up at 3 a.m., your circadian rhythm and the hormonal shifts of menopause may both be playing a role.

Your body clock affects far more than sleep. It helps regulate cortisol, melatonin, insulin sensitivity, appetite hormones, and the repair that happens overnight. But modern life has flattened the signals it relies on, while menopause can make staying asleep even harder.

The changes with the best evidence are also free: keep your wake time consistent, get outside within your first hour of waking, make your evenings darker, and front-load your meals earlier in the day.
