Annual General Meeting - 27th November
What another Crazy year of paintball it has been!
Floods, Power outages and a few more floods… but Super Sevens came back with an array of new teams and of course some solid recognisable teams too.. Our friends from over the water have started coming back to visit, Valhalla has been holding the flag well for Queensland, Elite 1 have reset the date for round two of Rush… and of course NXL with the help of Kai are flying high…
Ok way too much rhyming.. but it been a tumultuous year but with some great paintball nevertheless… here at the APA we have had a very busy year too… We have completely nearly 5 out of the eight steps required to help us become recognised as a sport, launched a FREE waiver app for all Australian fields, Launched a membership app for all members and have so many plans for the next few years it is crazy!
With lots of plans comes lots of work and the team here at the APA need you and all your young hard working attitudes to put your hat in the ring! (You don’t have to be young… most of the committee are old at best… and a high percentage are eligible for APIA car insurance… (note to self, new sponsor for 2023??)
In the next few days, those of you that have already joined along with just over 300 others, you will be receiving your official invites to this years AGM… it will be held in Brisbane, venue to be confirmed but 95% sure its going to be on the northside… it is DEFINITELY on Sunday the 27th and we would love for as Many of you as possible to join us for the Meeting… we have lots to discuss… so lock that date into your diaries… actual time and location to be announced in the next few days… you will also be able to dial in via skype and/or MS Teams…
More than that we would love for any of you who are keen from all around the country to put your hands up to help drive the organisation forward, we are looking for new committee members, all over the country… It’s the AGM so all positions are up for tenure… president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, fundraisers, hellraisers, tournament writers, butchers, bakers and candle stick makers…
Joking aside, the committee are strong but would be stronger with you on board, we meet twice a month over the net and we not looking for hours and hours of commitment… but we are looking for a few hours of commitment, whether that’s organising or helping at a fundraiser for your local branch, doing some admin, helping hand out water and merchandise at events or researching new information…
If you can’t commit at all, then that’s ok too.. just join for FREE and make sure that EVERYONE you know that plays paintball also joins the APA… That alone helps us grow… but we would love for anyone who is keen, who can provide just a few hours a month to help out to come join the committee and help take paintball to its next stage in development…
