FQ Central Coast need more referees in order to ensure all games both junior and senior have officials appointed for every game across our region.

Please note:
⚽️You must be 13+
⚽️If over 18 you must have a Blue Card
⚽️Online Modules to be completed prior to course.

Any players registered to play for 2026 do receive a discount on their fees when they register as a referee

⚠️ ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, TEAM OFFICIALS & SPECTATORS ⚠️

Last night’s State of Origin showed just how passionate sport can make people. Plenty of fans frustrated about the controversial decision involving a player sent from the field.

But it’s also a timely reminder that even at the highest level, decisions won’t always go our way.

Across our football fields each week, our referees — many of them young and still learning — deserve the same respect we expect at every level of the game. Community football is about development, enjoyment and creating a positive environment for players, coaches, referees and families. We are NOT a professional league!!

Bluebirds United FC asks all players, coaches and spectators to:

⚽ Respect referees and opposition players
⚽ Keep sideline behaviour positive and supportive
⚽ Allow coaches and young referees to develop without abuse or pressure
⚽ Bench officials to support referees at all times and avoid questioning or disputing decisions
⚽ Remember that our players are watching and learning from the adults around them

Coaches and team officials set the tone for our game. The way we respond to decisions, wins and losses teaches our young players far more than the result on the scoreboard.

As a further reminder, all games must have a visible Ground Official present on the sidelines throughout matches. The Ground Official plays an important role in supporting referees, assisting with match day issues and helping maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone involved.
