AB Mechanical CQ Gravel Race 2 - Ridgelands Handicap p/b Giant Rockhampton ✅

Superb conditions this morning for a race around Ridgelands. Wind, what wind? Did not even notice it 🥵

Riders took to the circuit from 8:30 for the two laps and 9:00 for the one lap. Everyone had one thing in mind, get over that hill before the scratchies catch us. It worked out for some, others, not so much. A scattering of punctures meant for some varied results but a great morning on the gravel!

A big thank you to everyone involved in hosting the event, it is greatly appreciated.

🚴‍♂️9 Weeks until the 2026 QLD Cyclocross State Titles!🚴‍♀️

Now is the time to sharpen up the skills and techniques before the big day. In the lead up to the State Titles, we will be hosting CX practice on Wednesday evenings at Kenrick Tucker Velodrome.

✅Aerobic fitness
✅Anaerobic Fitness - punchy steep climb accelerations
✅Balance
✅Dismount & mount skills
✅✅Cornering - we have heaps
✅✅✅Smiles and laughs - guaranteed!

Even if you are not targeting the States, it is a great opportunity to come and work on fitness while learning new skills and having fun along the way. All skill levels welcome. Any bike welcome too!
