The pools are out for the 2026 Confraternity Carnival.
A total of 72 teams – 56 boys’ teams and 16 girls’ teams – will gather at Marist College, Ashgrove for an opening ceremony and Mass on Sunday 28 June 2026.

Our Xavier Wolves Confro boys have again been crowned Wide Bay Champions with a heart stopping 14-12 win over Gympie SHS in Gympie today. The team showed the resilience and courage that has become their trademark, with Tyler Franklin scoring on the last play of the match to secure the win.

Congratulations boys!

This is the 5th year in a row Xavier Catholic College has claimed the Wide Bay title, a huge achievement for the College and all involved in the Wolves Rugby League program.

The boys will now travel to Toowoomba in Week 4 to compete in the NRL Quad series tournament against teams from the Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs and South West Queensland in the next step of defending their QLD NRL Trophy title.

CONFRO HONOUR | The 2025 Confraternity Carnival marked a significate milestone for one of Claver’s own – a stalwart of the College; an unwavering supporter of our Rugby League program; our Deputy Principal with an ‘anything-is-possible’ attitude. Congratulations to Todd Riggs on the completion of his 20th consecutive Confraternity Carnival.

Mr Riggs has and continues to give up his personal time to support our Rugby League program and the development of the next generation of players. This year also saw Mr Riggs appointed as the 2025 Confraternity Queensland Manager – a role we think was well and truly earned and a role he is more qualified to fulfil. Congratulations again, Mr Riggs.
