🎉🥳 HAPPY BIRTHDAY COACH KAM! 🥳🎉

Today we celebrate one of the biggest personalities in the SPG family — the one and only Coach Kam! 🍄🐍❤️

Whether he’s cracking jokes, keeping everyone laughing, dropping some questionable one-liners, or somehow finding a way to make even the toughest sessions enjoyable, Kam brings an energy to the gym that’s impossible to replace 🫶🏼

Behind all the fun and laughter is a coach who genuinely cares about every member who walks through our doors. He’s always willing to help, share his knowledge, encourage others, and make everyone feel welcome as part of the team.

The gym wouldn’t be the same without your humour, passion, and ability to turn any serious moment into absolute chaos 😂

🚨 KIDS CLASSES CANCELLED TODAY 🚨

Due to Coach Angus being unwell, all Kids Classes and Kids PT Sessions scheduled for today have been cancelled.

✅ Adults Foundations and fighters classes will run as normal.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We wish Coach Angus a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing all of our junior members back in the gym soon! 🐍💚

🐍🥊 GEN’DAI DEVELOPMENT DAY 🥊🐍

A huge congratulations to all of the SPG crew who made the trip to Mackay on Saturday for another fantastic Development Day hosted by our good friends at Gen’Dai Thai Boxing.

What an incredible day, with a fantastic turnout and plenty of opportunities for our up-and-coming fighters to step through the ropes, gain valuable experience, and put their skills to the test. For some, it was their very first time stepping into the ring — and that takes serious courage 🙌

We’re incredibly proud of every single person who got involved, gave it a crack, stepped outside their comfort zone, and continued building confidence in their Muay Thai journey. Days like these are what development is all about — learning, growing, and gaining experience in a supportive environment.

A big thank you to the team at Gen’Dai for once again putting together such a well-run event and providing these opportunities for athletes from across the region 🙏

Snake Pit Gym’s very own Lachy has earned the incredible opportunity to represent Australia at the WBC Muay Thai World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, later this month, from 25–29 June 2026. 🥊🌏

This is a dream come true for a young athlete who has dedicated countless hours to training, competing, and chasing his goals.

As exciting as this opportunity is, representing your country comes with significant costs, including flights, accommodation, uniforms, registration fees, and travel expenses.

We’re asking our amazing SPG family, friends, supporters, and local community to get behind Lachy and help make this journey possible.

Every donation, big or small, brings him one step closer to stepping onto the world stage and proudly wearing the green and gold. 💚💛

We’ve collected quite a few items that have been left behind in and around the gym.

Parents, guardians and members, please take a moment to check the photo below and have a look around at home to see if you or your child/children are missing any of the pictured items.

📅 All lost property must be collected by Friday, 5 June 2026.

Any items that remain unclaimed after this date will be donated.

⚠️ Gear Storage Reminder

Any members currently storing personal training gear at the gym (excluding active fighters) are asked to please take their equipment home with them. This includes wraps left hanging around the gym.

While we’re happy to provide a great training environment, the gym is not a storage facility. Personal belongings and equipment remain the responsibility of their owner, and Snake Pit Gym cannot accept responsibility for lost, damaged or misplaced items.

From multiple state and national titles, to standing on the podium at the IFMA Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi, Lachy continues to prove what hard work, discipline and dedication can achieve.

Weekend Warriors 🐍🔥

What a night for the SPG team on Saturday 👊
Win, lose or no contest — every single one of our fighters stepped through those ropes with heart, discipline and courage, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Huge congratulations to Angus and Damien on their incredible victories. Both boys put on dominant performances and showed exactly what hard work and dedication look like under the lights 🏆🔥

Aiden may have had his fight ruled a no contest, but he absolutely brought the heat from start to finish and put on an exciting performance that had the crowd behind him the entire time 👏

And to Luke — while the result didn’t go our way this time, the growth, composure and improvement from your last fight was impossible to miss. The progress you’ve made inside and outside the ring has been massive, and this is only the beginning 💪

Fight nights are never just about wins. They’re about showing up, backing yourself, representing your team with pride and leaving everything in the ring — and every one of our fighters did exactly that.
