๐Ÿ’™ Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all the amazing dads in our Aspire family! ๐Ÿ’™

Today we celebrate our wonderful Aspire dads, and all dads everywhere, who are always there cheering from the sidelines, supporting, encouraging and believing in their girls every step of the way.

Thank you for the early mornings, the endless drives to training, the competition days, the words of encouragement, and most of all, for being such incredible supporters of our girls and their gymnastics journey. ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธโœจ

Your love, patience and encouragement mean more than you know, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our Aspire family.

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures who help our girls dream big and believe in themselves. ๐Ÿ’™

With appreciation,
Team Aspire ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ

Three things we're quietly fixing every time a child sits in their splits.

The back knee rolling out to the side, when we want square hips and that knee tucked under. The shoulders drifting round, when both should point forward and pull back.

And the front foot turning out, which quietly undoes their split leaps and balances later. None of it shows until you know to look. All of it matters for what comes next.

This week, our athletes are moving to the music as they focus on dance and musicality, body waves, ribbon skills, and routine learning. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’œ Each skill helps build rhythm, coordination, expression, and confidence as athletes continue developing their routines. Every movement is another opportunity to learn, grow, and find their flow. โœจ

With so many classes, working out which one suits your child comes down to one thing first: what are you actually after?

If you want to introduce them to the sport, have fun, build fitness and confidence, learn the basics, the recreational program is the place to start. Generally one session a week, grouped by age, so it's social as much as anything. Lots of kids never need more than that, and that's completely fine.

If they start wanting to take it more seriously, that's when the competitive stream comes in. There the girls are placed in squads by skill level as well as age, and they train more, some of the younger ones twice a week, building up as they get older.

There's no rush to move, and no wrong answer. It just depends on your family and your child.

Two things happening at once, and that's what makes this one hard.

Eun releases the rope behind her lower back and catches it on a straight elbow. On its own, tricky enough.

Then we add a passรฉ balance underneath, so she's releasing and catching the rope while holding the balance.

That combination is what turns a handling into a difficulty of apparatus. Small moving parts, stacked, until it becomes one clean skill.

I think I can do three forward rolls before it comes down. Some days the girls call it, some days the throw wins.

Either way they're back up laughing and trying again.
