MINOR PREMIERS 🥔🏆
Our Ladies League Tag team have secured the Minor Premiership for the 2026 season!
We are so incredibly proud of these girls on their hard work, passion and camaraderie. From only winning 1 game last year to finishing on top this year, their efforts have not gone unnoticed. We look forward to seeing how these ladies go in the upcoming finals series, hopefully they will finish as Champions! 🤍

RESULTS 🥔🎉
The girls have finished their last round game with a win, 20-10 against Crooky! They headed down the coast to Sussex Inlet for a RCLLT triple header in some summer-like conditions. Crooky started off strong with 2 early tries, but our girls ripped in with Taylah Vella scoring 2 tries to finish the half at 10-10. The Spuds stayed in the grind of the game and were rewarded with tries from Ivy Keat & Taylah Denford to finish at 20-10.
The ladies have finished this season as Minor Premiers & will verse Storm next weekend in the Major SF!

Warilla defeated the Spuddies 32-4 in the Regan Cup clash at Warilla yesterday.

In a game with no bearing on finals positions, the Gorillas got away to an ideal start and two smart tries took them out to a 10-nil lead early. Another try just before the break saw them lead 16-nil at half time.

Three unanswered tries to the home team blew the score out before Lachlan Green scored a try in the corner with only a few minutes remaining to see the Spuds finally get on the board.

Green, James Hagger and Nathan Whatman all tried hard for the Spuddies in a contest that never reached any great heights. We will take on Shellharbour in the Minor Semi next weekend.

Congratulations to both the LLT (Minor Premiers) and Mens teams who will both feature in this year’s finals series again. Venues and times for Week 1 will be finalised tomorrow.

Congrats Robertson-Burrawang Spuddies, Big Leg Up recipients for 2026.

For more than 110 years, the Robertson Spuddies have been putting in the hard yards for their community. From volunteers maintaining the grounds to a 90-year-old still mowing the field each week, this club is built on hard work. That's why they're taking home a $50,000 VB Big Leg Up to upgrade ageing facilities and keep local footy thriving.

RESULTS 🥔🎉
In a very low scoring day, the ladies have taken another win against Basin 6-2! Battling against the heat, the spuds had a couple disallowed tries but showed some great attack and defence. In a nearly scoreless first half, the Dragons took a penalty goal as the ho**er rang to finish the half at 0-2. After many saved run-aways from both teams, in particular Lily Campbell, Ivy Keat ran the distance to secured the ladies the lead at 6-2. The Dragons tested our defence but were unable to secure anymore points to finish with the 6-2 final score.

An entertaining Regan Cup game saw the Basin claim an 8-nil win over the Spuddies.

In warm and dry conditions - a little different to the games between the two teams earlier in the season, a tough early battle in the forwards was capitalised on by Basin who scored two tries out wide to take a half time lead.

A scoreless second half featured plenty of brutal defence and some good try scoring chances went begging by both teams, with the competition leaders holding on to secure the win.

Kemp Seville had another great game for the Spuddies, with Aiden Moule and Rory Muir both performed strongly. Thanks to Basin for another hard fought game and we hope to see them again in September.

Next week the LLT girls head to Sussex to take on Crookhaven, while the men travel to Warilla for the final game of the regular season. Both games on Saturday.

50 GAMES - CHARLES WHATMAN 🥔🏆
Big congrats to Charles Whatman on hitting his 50-game milestone with the Spuddies today!
Starting out as a lightweight on the wing when he first picked up league in 2023, Charles has worked incredibly hard to become the powerhouse back rower he is today.
Charles was a part of the Champion 2025 Spuddies Rotterdam team & has been our main goal kicker the past 2 seasons.
Good luck in the maroon and white today, here’s to the next 50! 🥔🩲
