⚽️ SEMI-FINAL WINNERS! 🔴🟢⚫
A massive congratulations to our Bayside Strikers U14/15 FQPL team, who came away with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over United Warriors in the local derby semi-final, booking themselves a spot in the Preliminary Final! 👏🔥
After going 1–0 down early in the first half, the lads held their nerve, stayed composed and focused on playing simple, quality football. Around the 20-minute mark, the momentum started to shift, with the boys coming off the bench making a huge impact on the game.
Bayside came out firing in the second half and could feel the momentum building. Flynn and Jaxson found the back of the net in quick succession to turn the game on its head and put Bayside in front! ⚽️⚽️
The intensity lifted from there, with plenty happening both on and off the ball, but credit to the referees for doing a great job managing a passionate local derby.
Luca was then brought down in the box and calmly stepped up to put away the resulting penalty. 🎯
From there, it was all about calm heads, smart ball movement and seeing the game out as a team.
A fantastic performance and a well-earned 3–2 WIN! 💪
