International Tour Update!
Kiralee, along with Miella and Romi Brown, Georgia Godwin and the coaching team have arrived safely in France. Check out what they’ve been up to since arriving on Monday!
✅ 30 hours of travel to arrive at INSEP - the French National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance.
✅ Tour of the gymnastics centre with Tara, a French National team coach, to check out the strength and conditioning gym, hot and cold pools, onsite medical and physio staff and facilities and onsite dining hall.
✅ Six training sessions since arriving incorporating skills, competition routines and strength and conditioning.
✅ Practice competition in preparation for the competition on November 8th & 9th.
✅ Had lots of fun celebrating Halloween with the French athletes! The athletes dressed up in costumes and coach Tara gave lollies to athletes who did a good job throughout the session 👻
✅ A true Australian welcome in France for Miella and Kiralee, who found a huntsman spider on the air-conditioner of their hotel room! David was called in for prompt spider removal.
The Australian team have been training with the athletes from the French National team who live onsite at this National training centre. The Aussie team have been welcomed so warmly with every French gymnast and coach from both their men’s and women’s team coming to say good morning to everyday to each Aussie coach and athlete, making them feel like they are part of their family 💕
While Kiralee is making her international competition debut at this event, she is having the incredible experience of competing alongside Miella, Romi and Georgia who have all competed at various of international events including World Championships, Commonwealth Games and the Olympics! We are so excited for Kiralee to have this fantastic opportunity to be surrounded by, compete with, and learn from such talented and experienced athletes.
