Yesterday, 50 of our RSC Junior Swimmers splashed it out at our first Aggregate of the swim season at Maroondah Leisure – Aquahub. 💦

Aggregates are run by our senior swimmers and club leaders, and in addition to getting some valuable race day experience for the juniors, the afternoon allowed swimmers from the different squads to get together and socialise in the warm pool, out of the winter chill. ❄️➡️💧

We’re very grateful to everyone who came and helped out during the afternoon, and encouraged the swimmers. 🖤💜

Back to 2023, when Liam was dominating the world of gymnastics - training 15 hours a week and finishing his career as State Vault Champion 🥇 before making the switch to swimming.

💬 Liam: “I had a love/hate relationship with swimming, but once I was burnt out from gymnastics I thought I’d give squad a term to see how I went. I’ve never looked back!”

And we agree! 🙌 Liam has exploded onto the swimming scene, with a couple of State golds already and we’ve got no doubt we’ll see him on the blocks at April’s Age Nationals. 🏊‍♂️💥

Safe to say… he’s come a long way from 25m with an aid! 🏊🏽‍♂️😁

From splashing around at Learn to Swim to:

🥇 Earning state medals in Victoria and South Australia.
🥇 Breaking a Victorian record in the 12-13 years 1500m free.
🌟 Achieving official National Qualifying Times.

Now, Thomas is preparing to represent RSC on the Gold Coast this April 🖤💜

As a proud Target26 swimmer, Thomas isn’t just a fierce competitor, he’s an emerging leader in our club. The future is very bright for this rising star! 🌟

🌟 What an incredible day at our SC meet! 🌟

A huge congratulations to all our swimmers – we saw some fantastic PBs and the team spirit was through the roof! 🏊‍♂️💪

A special shoutout to former Olympic coach, Wayne Lawes, who was on deck giving our athletes some priceless race advice and feedback. 🏅 Your expertise and presence makes a huge difference, Wayne!

We couldn’t have pulled this off without the support of all the amazing clubs that came out to race with us, and a massive thank you to all the volunteers who made it possible. 🙏 From the BBQ to the raffle, the timekeepers, officials, and tech team – you all went above and beyond. We truly appreciate your time and effort!

And seeing our winners proudly wearing those shiny new medals was the perfect way to cap off the day! 🏅✨

We commend all swimmers for their dedication, competitive spirit, and outstanding performances across the weekend.
