🖤💜💛FINN HOOD IS BACK💛💜🖤

After making the move across from Park Orchards, Finn Hood put together a strong season through the U19s midfield.

Finn impressed with his speed, run and carry, consistently showing his ability to break the lines and move the ball forward.

He also got a taste of senior football with two games at the next level, where those same qualities stood out.

Another young player on the rise, and we’re looking forward to seeing Finn take the next step in 2027.

🖤💜💛HAYDEN KEMP IS BACK💛💜🖤

Hayden Kemp will be back in black, purple and gold in 2027.

There’s a reason Kempy is one of our coaches’ favourites. He puts the team first, does the one-percenters and never shies away from the hard work.

Hard at the ball and willing to do whatever the team needs, Hayden brings plenty of experience and a strong work ethic to a young side around him.

After missing part of the season while overseas, we’re looking forward to having Kempy back and seeing him help lead the next generation of Norwood players in 2027.

🖤💜💛U19.5s COACHING 2027💛💜🖤

Welcome back Stu Thomson and Liam Callaghan, and welcome to the U19s coaching team Kevin Tymensen.

Stu will again lead our U19s, continuing a role in which he has become hugely popular with both the playing group and the wider Norwood community.

An excellent leader and someone who has built a strong connection with our young players, Stu will again play a key role in guiding the next generation of Norwood footballers.

Joining Stu again is senior player Liam Callaghan, who has become an important leader within our playing group. Liam brings a strong understanding of the demands of senior football, a great connection with our younger players and plenty of experience to help guide the U19s both on and off the field.

We’re also excited to welcome Kevin Tymensen to the coaching group. A former senior premiership player at Norwood, Kevin has continued to give back to the club over the years, coaching a number of our junior teams and helping develop young Norwood players.

Kevin’s experience, knowledge of the club and understanding of our junior pathway will be a great addition to the U19s program.

With Stu, Liam and Kevin leading the group, our young men will have a strong mix of leadership, experience and development around them as they take the next step in their football journey.

🖤💜💛HAYDEN PATERSON IS BACK💛💜🖤

Hayden Paterson will be back in black, purple and gold in 2027.

Hayden got his season off to an excellent start, playing some of the best football of his career before a five-week spell overseas with Kempy interrupted his season.

He just keeps getting better, and his impact goes beyond what he produces on the field. Hayden is an important leader around the club and someone who continues to set a strong standard for those around him.

A key piece of our future as we continue to build towards what comes next.

Fraser Dunstone will be back in 🖤💜💛 in 2027.

Frase brings that bit of X-factor that can turn a game in an instant, with his ability to produce the kind of moments that regularly end up in the highlights reel.

Strongly built and still maturing as a player, Fraser has the versatility to make an impact at both ends of the ground and continues to develop his game with every opportunity.

There’s plenty more to come from Frase, and we’re looking forward to another exciting year from him in 2027.

Another young player continuing his development at Norwood, with Sam Plut re-signing for 2027.

Sam spent much of the season playing down back in a number of important lockdown roles, taking on some challenging opponents and gaining valuable experience at senior level.

His performances continued to improve as the season progressed, with the opportunity to play important games providing another big step in his development.

There’s plenty more to come from Sam, and we’re looking forward to seeing him take the next step in 2027.

🖤💜💛WOMEN’S CO-COACHES REAPPOINTED💛💜🖤

We’re pleased to announce that Steve Gregson and Mick Caton have been reappointed as co-coaches of our women’s team for 2027.

After earning promotion to Division 4, the team faced the challenge of losing a number of players in the off-season. Steve and Mick did a great job of bringing the group together and guiding them to a finals appearance in their first season in the higher division.

Their focus on education, development and building cohesion within the playing group saw our young list continue to improve throughout the season.

With a strong foundation now in place and plenty of growth still to come, we’re expecting big things from Steve, Mick and the group in 2027.

Congratulations Steve and Mick. We’re looking forward to another big year ahead.
