The Modbury Tennis Club is one of the largest tennis clubs in the North East suburbs. It is situated on Ashley Avenue, Ridgehaven, as a part of the Modbury Sporting Complex. It has 8 well kept courts and utilises an excellent licensed club room, with canteen, bar and ample area for entertaining and relaxing when you're taking a break from the court. Playing options at Modbury vary from options for
the true beginners right up to the most competitive players. For our beginners, club coaches Gavin Pfitzner & Tim Sandwell are the ones to see. Both offer group and private lessons at the club from Monday to Friday. For those wanting to have the occasional hit, we have you covered. Our social membership option gives you access to the courts for one year, at the low price of $120. This allows you to enjoy tennis without being a competitive member of the club. For those looking for structured matches in a relaxed environment, the Tuesday night mixed doubles or Wednesday morning Ladies doubles competition may be for you. The Tuesday night comp is a great way to start out for adults looking to play and is also a great way to meet new people! Juniors are covered as well at Modbury! Catering for all children from beginners to pennant level, the junior competition is a great way for kids to be involved with tennis, in a nurturing, structured environment. Matches are held on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. The senior teams at Modbury are something we pride ourselves on! With teams covering the full range of abilities, there is sure to be a team for you. Ladies and men's teams play on Saturday afternoons and can often be found after matches relaxing at the club rooms enjoying the great hospitality.
