Today our cobbers from Fitzroy Victoria Bowling & Sports Club turned up for a bit of practice.

The greens looked sensational. They rolled even better and the company was magnificent.

You can’t ask for more than that.

The winning continues at the Richmond Union Bowling Club. Noddy will be spending his winnings at our nieghbours at the Sporting Globe. Dominic is firing up the barbecue to cook up the meat tray from Bertie’s Butcher on Swan Street. Stop on by the London Tavern and see if John will buy you a drink with his winnings.

Lots of winning going on at the Richmond Union Bowling Club on Thursday night. Rachel Haywood’s name came up as the winner of the Members Draw — but she wasn’t here to claim the prize, so next Thursday’s jackpot goes up to $200.00.

The best backyard in Richmond, beautiful one moment, perfect the next.

Today our jungle was jumping as the cast and crew of Triple M Melbourne 105.1 turned up with a bunch of contestants in tow for Mick in the morning Super Bowls.

What a fantastic bunch of humans and a truckload of fun too. We hope to see them all again soon.

Special thanks to the wonderful women of Richmond CWA 3121 for putting on a magnificent spread. All the food was yummy, with the passionfruit sponge a heavenly delight.

A big shout out to James from Breheny Bros Breweries for the fantastic frothies. That Royal L***r is worth queuing up for. A sensational drop.

Congratulations to Stan the winner. Commiserations to Steve the runner up along with all the other contestants that took part. Great stuff!

Albert’s Amazing Social Bowls had the punters hotly contesting bragging rights. In the end wash up, the dream team proved too good.

Well done Chris and Adam, your blood’s worth bottling.

The greatest bowler our club has ever produced is coming home. Although, our Greenkeeper is hoping he goes easy on the flipper.

Hip, hip, hooray, the “Crackerjack” countdown has started. Only three more sleeps to go until “Jack Simpson” drives back to his reserved inner city bowls club car park and we’re excited, very excited.

The wonderful women of Richmond CWA 3121 have their aprons on, as they whip up a gastronomical gaggle of delectable delights.

The brilliant brewers from Breheny Bros Breweries have their finest frothies ready to quench the thirst of the parched punters.

The contestants are ready, the champ is ready and the crew from Mick in the morning on Triple M Melbourne 105.1 are ready. The question is, are you ready?

Happy Father’s Day to all the special persons in our lives.

As a super Sunday treat, why not bring the old man down to the best backyard in Richmond and buy him a few frothies? After all, you’re probably the reason he drinks. You can even roll a couple down while you’re at it.

We’ve got the Sunday roast happening, so bring mum too.
