Marc brought us two frames for himself and his son. Along with an array of New Old Stock parts he’d collected over the years. The goal was two working bikes ready to rip up the trails with!

We started by building up 4 wheels using NOS FR600 Rims along with NOS Deore & Deore XT hubs.

Both bikes were then equipped with 10 Speed Shimano SLX group sets including SLX hydraulic brakes which were NOS.

Marzocchi forks, carbon handlebars and seat posts installed. Then an array of anodised spares Marc had to finish off the builds.

This is Marc’s 4th & 5th bike we’ve built for him in the past 15 years! Thanks mate!

AC rides the Yellow Belly Track!
Over the Labour Day Weekend some of the crew rode from Shepperton to Tallarook following the Goulburn River. An amazing route taking us through Murchison, Nagambie & Seymour. With an ever changing landscape and relatively flat terrain, it’s perfect for riders of any level.
The route goes through the beautiful winery region of Mitchellstown, so well worn a visit, as you can see from the last photo!

The Bicycle Swap Meet is on Saturday February 14th!
We will be open from 8am and running some in-store-only sales for the occasion.
If you were wanting to set up a stall get in quick as we’re expecting a lot of sellers for this one.

We had the privilege of upgrading Cervelo in preparation for the which commences in 2 days.

Nick upgraded his bike with a 90 Groupset with aero Chainring.
A 34 Float front fork
Plus some upgrades to the brake pads from the team + rotors.

The Tour Te Waipounamu spans 1330kms from the northern to the southern most points of New Zealand’s South Island. A massive 22,000+ meters gained along with a cast of world class riders competing.

We are taking short break over Christmas & New Year’s to rest and recharge after a busy year.

Keir’s Cycle Toussaint Velo Routier came out just as planned. This bike has a special place in Abbotsford Cycles heart, this frame was brought in by founder Peter Moore. We have named it The Croissant, and it is a representation of the blending of the new and the old here at this 38 year old bike shop! This build is a modern take on the French randonneur bike, combining NOS components with shiny new parts. Some folks may have seen this bike in the shop over the last few months, now it’s essentially complete it deserves a post. Full Spec’s below
