A Message From Jan Nichols...

I wondered if you could please put a post up for me on
the AANC page.

Well the "Aussies" are over for another twelve months. I
would like to say thank you to a few people who helped
me with the dressage etc.

Firstly to Yvonne and Ray Downes, not only for being
gear check at the dressage, but for helping everyday
with or without being asked. You are legends.

Secondly to Jody Pickering who pencilled for one of the
judges, but also put her hand up to score along with our
stable monitor Kirsty Nichols (who was tireless as usual
in her job as stable monitor, going above and beyond to
help competitors). Initially we had problems with the iPads
not accepting the keyboards. Thank goodness I had the
forethought to print a list of tests otherwise I don't know
how we could have proceeded. The weather was appalling
too with loads of puddles on the arenas. I had to go home for a while to check on a sick pony, who thank goodness, is now fine.

Lastly to Adam King who almost single handedly organised
all aspect of the show, and not a well person either. Thank
you from all the competitors and myself.

People are very quick to judge things about horse shows, and
the way they are run. This sort of camaraderie is what makes
it all worth while. Plus, all the volunteers, who do it for the love of
the Arabian horse.

Presentations of trophies and ribbons for dressage, will be held in the Mess Hall (Riders Retreat) on Wednesday evening, during the free Pizza night.

Notice to All Exhibitors - National Event Travel
We’ve received a number of questions about whether next week’s Australian Arabian national Championships will proceed, particularly surrounding concerns about the current fuel situation across Australia and the impact this may have on travel.
We want to reassure all competitors that the event will be proceeding as scheduled.
Due to the high demand for our venue, we are unable to postpone or reschedule the event. Our venue booking has been secured for a long time, and all major suppliers, including hire companies, contractors, props, and other services, are fully locked in. Any changes at this stage would create significant logistical and financial challenges and would unfortunately make running the event impossible.
We understand that the fuel situation has caused uncertainty for some competitors. Based on all available information, fuel remains accessible nationwide, though prices may vary. We encourage you to plan ahead, consider carpooling or shared transport if it helps, and allow additional travel time where needed.
In addition, we’d love to see you at our free dinner events taking place at the show. These evenings are a great opportunity to relax, connect with other competitors, and enjoy the atmosphere and are our way of saying thank you for being part of this event in these uncertain times.
