Learning to ice skate has never been so smooth and hassle free! ⛸️🤗
Skate School enrolments are now open for Term 4 at iceHQ ⛸️

⏰ Early bird pricing is available for one week only, classes fill up fast, do not delay your enrolment!

When you enrol, we’ll group you by age and skill level, so you’ll be learning alongside others just like you.

Whatever your ice skating goals are, our experienced coaches are here to help you achieve them! 🤩

⛸️ 30 minute group lesson per week
⛸️ 30 minute practice time per week
⛸️ Free skate hire and protective gear (including helmets)
⛸️ 2 free passes to use at any Public Session or weekday Freestyle Session during the skate school term*
⛸️ Free public session skating on the day of your lesson

Skate School sessions take place Mondays 5pm-7pm, Wednesdays 5pm-6:30pm and Saturdays 9:30am-11:30am

iceHQ’s highly in demand Figure Skating Workshop is back for the September School Holidays! ⛸️🤗

Focused on creating power for stronger skating skills, and carrying speed throughout jumps 💥

Running across 3 mornings, this workshop is a perfect way for skaters in Free Skate 1 and above to hone their jumps and skating skills. Instructed by experienced ice dancer and coach Emily Laing, with a focus on developing skaters’ speed and power, helping them achieve stronger skating skills and more explosive jumps.

Each day includes 2.25 hours of coached figure-skating skills on and off the ice to help skaters create stronger body control, refine their movement quality, and learn to carry momentum through jumps. With access to the full sheet of ice, this is the perfect opportunity for skaters to put their speed and power into practice across the rink, and take their skating to the next level.

Led by Head Coach Emily Laing, assisted by Coach Victoria Larsen and Coach Claire Adam

Tuesday 29th September - Thursday 1st of October
8:45am - 11:30am

❄️ WORKSHOP LEVEL❄️
Free Skate 1 and above

Each day includes:
2.25 hours of coached figure-skating skills

⛸️Guided off ice warm-up (15mins)
⛸️ Structured on-ice class (1 hour)
⛸️ Off-ice training for strength, mobility and dynamicity (1 hour)
⛸️ Post-session snacks
⛸️ A summary document of skills taught in the workshop for self-guided practise

*Unfortunately this is not a class for beginners, participants must have completed Aussie Skate Levels 1-10

It's time to introduce some kids to hockey! 🏒

We've got two sessions of come and try junior hockey at iceHQ, starting next week, for kids aged 16 and under. Our experienced hockey coaches are ready to start your child on their hockey journey.

🗓️ Thursday 24th September 9:15am-10:15am
🗓️ Thursday 2nd October 5:45pm-6:45pm

🏒 (Kids can generally begin ice hockey in our programs from 5 years old, if they can skate independently and follow coaches instruction)
🏒 Ice skating experience is required (can skate around and stop independently)
🏒 Ice hockey experience is not required. (This session is for complete hockey beginners, if your child has played any ice hockey before, this session is not for them)
🏒 All ice hockey gear and skates provided. For these sessions children should wear sports/workout clothes that hockey gear can fit over.
🏒 Parents/guardians will not be allowed on the ice

Ever wanted to ice skate but didn’t know where to start? Our Intro to Ice Skating class is designed just for beginners! Our friendly, experienced coaches will guide you every step of the way, making it fun and easy to get started.

Suited to beginner skaters of all ages, 5 years to adults, it's never too late to start!
🌟 Students will grouped by age for their lesson.

Welcome Hope Rowe, iceHQ’s newest private ice skating coach ⛸️

Hope is a competitive Senior Women’s Figure Skater having represented
South Australian Ice Skating Association and Ice Skating Australia at local
and international events.

Hope has completed her APSA Accreditations; Level 0 (Community Level Coach) and Level 1 (Singles, Pairs, Dance and Synchro)
Hope also holds Certificate III in Fitness (Group Fitness Instructor), and is currently studying a Bachelors of Nutrition Science.

Beginning ice skating at eight years old, Hope finds enjoyment and adventure in the competitive world of ice skating and is eager spark the same passion in the next generation of athletes by sharing the skills developed through her skating.

It's still Winter but Summer has arrived early at iceHQ ⛸️😊☀️

We would like to welcome our newest ice skating coach Summer Wolchyn, APSA accredited Level 1, now taking private lesson bookings at iceHQ.

Holding a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, Summer is passionate about helping skaters of all ages and abilities achieve their goals. With a passion for strength and conditioning her background in athletic development and injury prevention helps support skaters both on and off the ice, building strong foundations for longterm success.

Originally from Canada, Summer has been ice skating since she was 7 years old, and competing since the age of 11. In 2024 she became the 2024 Victorian State Champion – Adult Gold Women 🏆

Each private session is tailored to the individual, creating a positive and supportive environment where skaters can build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the journey.

iceHQ would like to welcome Claire Adam as our newest figure skating coach ⛸️🤗

You man know Claire as one of our long-term staff members, now an APSA Accredited Level 1 Coach, Claire is offering private ice skating lessons at iceHQ.

Part of the figure skating community for over 10 years, Claire has represented Victoria in both singles and synchronised skating. She is an Australian Champion and international synchronised skating representative, and brings a depth of experience, enthusiasm and passion to every session.

Claire is passionate about helping skaters build confidence, develop strong technical skills, and enjoy every step of their skating journey.
