Hi everyone, just some information and reminders for you before the tournament starts.
Friday’s schedule is now up on the Tennis SA Tournament page. Please check your entry and your first match time.
We have thirty extra players this year, which is great for the tournament however, this does mean that we have a few extra challenges with the schedule. In line with this Open/Championship Events will now be one set of six games with a tiebreaker to 7 points at 5-all. (Finals will remain three 6-game sets with a tiebreaker to 7 points at 6-all if time permits). The format for all other events will as per the Terms and Conditions on the entry form.
To also help keep matches running smoothly and on time, we ask that you:
- Arrive 15 mins before your scheduled match to check in.
- Keep hit-ups to under 5mins.
- Complete change of ends promptly
- Let the tournament desk know asap when your match has finished, what the score is, and to return the balls.
The Renmark Rovers Football Club will be open Thursday, 2nd April and Sunday, 5th April (Presentation Night) for meals from 6-8 pm. Please see the attached menu. There may be a couple of specials available Thursday night as well. The menu caters to gluten-free and vegetarian options. If you have any other dietary requirements, please let the kitchen know as early as possible, and they will do their best to accommodate your needs. Anyone arriving later Thursday evening can order ahead, and the kitchen staff will have your meal ready for you when you arrive.
To make a booking for either/both nights, please text the date, your name and the number of guests to 0482034005. Please note that the number previously given in the tournament message box and on Facebook was the incorrect number. Please resend any bookings to the correct number. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused by the mix-up.
If you are part of a group and wish to sit together, please make one booking under either your name or the name of your group, e.g., Seaside Tennis Club. Also, if you are only making bookings for, for example, four people, you may be sharing a table with another small group to make the best use of the tables available.
Camping Registration Forms – Please send today if you have not already done so. See attached map for permitted camping areas and power access points. The Renmark Paringa Council have notified us that campfires are allowed.
