On March 11th, the Hunter Hornet Squad - 501st Legion Southern Cross Garrison will participate in the Newcastle Relay for Life. This event aims to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Council's vital research, prevention, and support services. Our members will be walking laps around the track in their costumes, bringing a unique and exciting touch to this important cause.

An absolutely massive weekend road trip saw Neve and I training in the black belt class all the way north to the border at Murwillumbah. It doesn't matter where we are it always feels like home training under Master Moekka, and the members of all our Northern NSW and Qld clubs are so welcoming. Hope to see you all again soon.

My grandson Buddy Hanlon is in his second day of a six day 240km charity run from Port Macquarie to Newcastle finishing at Queens Wharf Hotel on Saturday between 2 and 3 pm.He is doing this to raise awareness and money for charities Beyond Blue and Better Today.Stay strong mate you’re a legend.mick Collins

We resume training Monday 16th January with one class 6:30 to 8 pm Monday and Thursday until Monday 30th when we will resume normal training.There will be no training on Thursday 26th January Australia Day

I hope everyone had a merry Xmas we wish all a happy and safe new year.We have a break until Monday 16th January when we will recommence training with one class from 6:30 to 8pm on Monday 16 Thursday 19 and Monday 23rd.On Monday 30 we will start normal training on Monday and Thursday night.Hope to see you all back in 2023 ready for a big year.regards Mick Collins

I was discussing patterns a few weeks ago with Master Wetherell from Sutherland and he suggested going back to the original sources and today I was lucky enough to spend a few hours working through all the patterns with Master Marie after black belt training today.

My head was hurting with everything we worked through by the end of the training and I look forward to working and refining our patterns in class.
