OTB today - what glorious weather. I’m working so Brian was on start boat duties.

Not a good start to the season 🙃.
Sat OTB was pushed to Sunday and of course now Sunday is too much breeze for us to have fun.
August has been notoriously breezy over the years.
Looking forward to next OTB - Sat September 28.

Was some great tussles yesterday in what started off in nominal breeze. It did max out to 6 knots but a great day on the water and close racing.

Some more photos from yesterday. Great race. Wind cam in a bit and we had a capsize- Warren would have slept well last night.
Only finished 1 race. Second race I had to up anchor to make sure Warren was ok. Everyone else went to finish the race only to find the finish line (up anchored start boat) had disappeared🤪.
Breeze was then up to our wind limits- everyone got to shore ok.

First race day for the season and what a day. My (Valerie) first race day(in years) in my red Maricat. Came last in all 3 races but finished all 3 races.
Welcome Vincent on his first day with us on his Hobbie 16.
Brian was ood for the day and took some great photos and a couple of videos.

Due to several circumstances- there is no racing on August 19th.
It is however, still an AUDIT day instead.😎

2023-24 race dates are now on the web site as below.

We aim to race on the Saturday however, if the weather is not conducive to fun, race day moves to the Sunday (except for our last race day as we are not racing on Mother's day !)
