🏁 FINAL RACE RESULTS ARE IN 🏁

For those who follow along but may not know all the ins and outs of powerboat racing, there are many processes that take place before results can be declared official.

It's not always as simple as the first boat across the finish line taking the win.

Following each event, officials review a range of matters including race conduct, jump starts, lane and corner infringements, engine compliance, video and drone footage, and any incidents that may have occurred throughout the weekend.

Unfortunately, Round 1 presented several challenges from the moment the first flag dropped. Officials were required to review a number of matters including jump starts, boats failing to maintain their racing line through the first turn, competitors continuing at race speed beyond the chequered flag, and, in one instance, a boat failing post-race engine compliance checks.

After careful review, the official results for Round 1 have now been finalised.

It has certainly been an eventful start to the 2027 Championship season, and with less than six weeks until Round 2 at Wisemans Ferry, teams will now regroup, repair, rebuild and focus on the next challenge.
