The Old Station Air Show simply would not be possible without our volunteers.
This year, over 400 volunteers gave their time, energy, and passion to make the 2025 show our biggest and most successful yet. From parking cars and flipping burgers to keeping crowds safe and aircraft moving — every single moment depended on the dedication of individuals and community groups who believe in what this event stands for.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that, thanks to your efforts, we’ve been able to donate a total of $150,000 back into our broader local community. This support was distributed across 12 community groups and 2 life-saving charities who helped bring the event to life.
Community Groups:
Whitsundays Australian Air Force Cadets – 110 Squadron
The Historical Motor Cycle Club of Queensland – Gladstone Branch
Bajool State School P&C
Raglan Rural Fire Brigade
Sport Aircraft Association of Australia
Mt Larcom & Calliope Police Services
Yarwun State School P&C
Ambrose State School P&C
Raglan Target Sports Association
State Emergency Services (SES)
Mt Larcom QCWA
Rotary Club of Gladstone
Charities:
Royal Flying Doctor Service
CapRescue
In addition to the main proceeds, an extra $2,700 was donated directly to CapRescue by Dale and his incredible crew, who worked tirelessly all weekend to keep the grounds clean and tidy. They personally collected 27,000 10c cans/bottles across the event — a massive effort that turned rubbish into a meaningful contribution for our local rescue helicopter service.
These organisations are the beating heart of our region — serving, educating, protecting, and supporting our communities in ways both seen and unseen. It is our absolute privilege to give back to them.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next The Old Station Air Show .... keep your eyes peeled, we will be announcing the date of the next event very soon
