Volunteers Week
From committee members to members who clean the bathrooms , windows, prune the trees, help in the bar, clean the kitchen, pay the bills, update Facebook and Instagram, replant a garden, take notes at meetings, apply for grants, — every contribution matters.

It’s important to remember that we are all volunteers, giving our time, energy and expertise both on and off the water.

It all adds up to what makes our Club such a special place, and it only happens because members continue to step up, support one another, and contribute in so many ways.

Our shared dedication helps make the Club the vibrant and welcoming community it is today. Quite simply, without volunteers, QLYC would not exist.

The club rooms were filled to capacity today for the 2026 Presentation day. A delicious lunch was prepared by the volunteers of the catering crew. The bar was attended to by more volunteers. The awards had been beautifully prepared and were presented by Club Captain Ian Campbell and Vice Commodore Geoffrey Mathews.
