LAURIE’S EUOLOGY

For those who couldn’t make it to the Funeral Service and for those who were there, here is what I would have said “IF” given the chance.

On Behalf myself and the Queen’s Park Touch Football Association we extend our Deepest Condolences to His Family and Life Long Friends

If life was fair, I wouldn’t need to be writing this.

A Majority of people have had the great pleasure of knowing Laurie for more than 30 years… and I am honoured that he considered me to be his friend.

All of you, who were friends of Laurie and those who were Lucky enough to have met him, will know what a privilege that was.

Laurie was held in the very highest regard and was an Integral part of the Queen’s Park Touch Football Community such a Kind and Gentle soul with that Positive Approach to Life and his sense of Humour will always remain an Outstanding Memory ….

He was loved and respected by all his fellow-referees AND by all the Players he refereed.

When I shared the news of Laurie’s passing, the men shook their heads in sad disbelief…and the ladies broke down in tears.

That reaction says it all.

With Laurie’s passing, we have all lost a truly good, good man.

It sadly reminds us that “Only the Good Die Young.”

We all love you, Laurie…and we will never forget you.

May your beautiful soul Rest in Peace.

Our/My Friend and Colleague Laurie (the Ref with the Bike)
Has Passed away on Monday 31st July.
I know he will be Missed by All of Us – Especially all of our/his “fellow Ref’s” not to mention all of You who have had the Pleasure of his Friendship,
And Dare I say those Fabulous if Not Funny Jokes, hahahaha
OK,
Just to Let you know the Funeral will be Held at the
Eastern Suburbs Crematorium the End Chapel next to the “Function Centre and Flower Shop” at the Front Entrance @ 2.30pm this Friday 4th August
Any of you who knew Laurie will be as Saddened as I am and I know you will join me in saying “May He Rest In Peace”
