Over the next 2 weeks we will have races for our lap swimmers. This week will be freestyle and backstroke races. Next week will be breaststroke and butterfly races.

We encourage kids to race against themselves. To work on improving their race technique and time and not to worry about the other students in their race.

The next 2 weeks are a great opportunity for parents to come watch their children to see their progression. Just remember it is hot in the pool enclosure over winter - wear a t-shirt.

Queanbeyan Pool has reopened today. We look forward to seeing all our lap swimmers today and tomorrow.

The urgent maintenance work at Queanbeyan Pool looks to has been successfully completed, and we’re excited to announce that the pool is re-open (Friday 15 May 2026)! 🏊‍♂️

There will be no lap swimming today or tomorrow as Queanbeyan Pool has had to shut down due to maintenances issues.

Lorrae's pool continues to operate as normal.

We apologies for the inconvenience but it is out of our hands. We will see all swimmers next week

Important Update: Queanbeyan Pool Closure

The Queanbeyan Pool will be closed for a week from 3pm today, Friday 8 May 2026. This is due to urgent maintenance works.

The closure is required to facilitate urgent filter repairs. Initially, we aimed to keep the pool operational by using one filter while repairing the other. Unfortunately, the remaining filter has been unable to manage the current bather loads, and as a result, we must temporarily close the pool to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. For updates on reopening, please keep an eye on this page or visit our website: qprcaquatics.com.au
