The cold winter mornings continued at this week’s shoot. We still had around 30 members show up to the shoot plus I2A and RA was also running this week as well. Thank you again to the people that came out on Saturday to help out on the working bee. During the working bee the club has updated the boundary pole for the two ranges, we have added new colours on the poles - red and yellow. The red poles indicate the no man’s land and the yellow poles indicate the boundaries to the two ranges.

Membership renewals are coming up in July, information for that is available on our website. If you still have a multiyear membership for 3DAAA, please contact us for a discounted membership fee.

Intro 2 Archery and the Retinue of Artemis are currently booked out. More dates for both will be available soon, just keep an eye on our social media. Book through the link in our bio.

If you have any inquiries please feel to email or message us.

For up coming events next week we have the monthly committee meeting, and there will be an up coming event working bee in the near future.

Yesterday was our last autumn shoot, and it was a good turnout again with around 30 people. Both Intro 2 Archery and the Retinue of Artemis also ran yesterday. On the main range we had the opportunity to shoot a special target - a traditional thin target set out at 70m. (Pictured below)

Intro 2 Archery and the Retinue of Artemis are now available in June. More dates for both will be available soon, just keep an eye on our social media. Book through the link in our bio.

We wish all the mothers out there a very happy Mother's Day.

Today at the range, we had extra cause for celebration with our inaugural Retinue of Artemis session. The Retinue of Artemis is a women led and women dedicated introductory program to archery, aiming to support women and girls in starting their archery journeys. We had 5 amazing participants come along this afternoon for an incredible first session, and we can't wait for the next one.

New sessions will be opening for booking soon, and we look forward to seeing both new and returning archers come along.

Intro to Archery and the Retinue of Artemis is all booked out. More dates for both will be available soon, just keep an eye on our social media. Book through the link in our bio.

Yet another lovely shoot down at the range this Sunday, getting in some last minute warmer weather before the winter chill. A good turn out of members and people for the intro line, we hope to see you come back. We are slowly starting to shift out our old wooden target butts, for a new lighter foam design.

I2A bookings are up for selected dates, and Retinue of Artemis is all booked out. More dates for both will be available soon, just keep an eye on our social media.

If you have any inquiries please feel to email or message us.

Monaro Archers is excited to intoduce a new Intro 2 Archery program to encourage more women to try archery in a fun and safe environment.

You can book and get more info in the link in our bio.

The Retinue of Artemis (RA) is a women-only beginner archery program that runs on a Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00pm twice a month. Our goal with the RA program is to create a safe space for female archers 12 years and above to learn the sport with a smaller cohort and female coaches who can understand the barriers many women face in starting a new sport.

Through participating in the program, participants will get to develop their archery skills with a focus on;

-Shoot a bow in a style of her choice,

-Setting up the range, and running of the line.

Participation in the RA program will not exclude an individual from attending the Introduction to Archery program, and participants can choose to attend both sessions or just one.

Equipment hire is covered by the RA session cost, but you may bring your own gear if you wish. However if you have your own equipment you wish to use, please arrive no later than 12:40pm as this will give the coaches time to inspect your equipment for suitability. Please be aware that the use of private equipment on the range is at the discretion of club officials.

Archers under 18 years of age will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

NOTE: This program is intended for women only. If you do not identify as a woman, please instead book into the Introduction to Archery program. If you do not identify as a woman and still book into this program, we reserve the right to refuse your booking on the day.
