Getting on the big wheel band wagon. 36er gravel touring bike for yours truly as 32” is for normal people. Mega chain stays are Reynolds 1” 531 time trial top tubes. Will combine with a truss fork and an experimental brake set up for the front.

Do not adjust your screen. In a world first, it’s the world’s second mid drive e-fat belt drive (see earlier post for factual details). Featuring low standover height, the now defunct rocker dropouts, custom down tube and head tube mid drive, cranks, headset. Off to live on the sunny west Australian coastline, which sounds good. I might pack myself in the box as well.

In a world first it’s the world’s first pedal assist fat bike! …or it was when I started building it... Brose motor with Gates belt drive and Rohloff hub. In house head tube, motor housing and down tube battery casing. When I started this I couldn’t find a mid drive fat bike with a Rohloff hub anywhere, not sure there is still, in this configuration I haven’t looked. Let me know.

I forget how long this sort of thing takes to do. Working it out as I go over a few days. Spindle extension housing bearing carrier is what I’m calling it, one more to make… These are for two pedal assist fat bikes using Brose motors and controllers, Gates belt drive with Rohloff hubs. A mouthful.

Bringing an ex world champion racehorse back to life as a bike packing mule… Good mechanical grip with the interference knurl and some high strength epoxy adhesive. Shall see how the mighty will try and break it with his megawatt shanks.
