Update on the club and discussions with council.

On behalf of the club's management committee, thank you to everyone that watched and responded to the video message we posted on social media on 3 October.

So where are we up to?

The management committee met with council representatives on 4 October 2024. During this meeting and follow-up correspondence we articulated the value that this service provides to you and the broader community and how we wanted it to continue. We also requested that the council provide an update to parents - e.g: transitional arrangements.

At this stage, the council continues to explore recruitment. Our priority is to ensure that our kids can stay in organised swimming with all the benefits that brings. The QLSC management committee has requested that the council explore alternatives for juniors that do not require a coach - at an affordable rate for members. We will keep you updated on our negotiations.

Qualifying Meet # 2, will be held at the AIS on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of October. It is now open for entries through Swim Central.

Entries will close 8pm Monday the 14th of October.

Our last winter club night is on tonight at 630pm before we move back out to the outdoor pool for our summer series. We hope to see you all there!
