What does JetBlack have in common with a life-size Koala?
Quite a lot actually!
Meet Blaze — the much-loved mascot for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, and one of the friendly faces supporting the incredible Bike 4 Burns charity ride.
This year, JetBlack Cycling was proud to support Bike 4 Burns, an amazing initiative of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, where a passionate group of around 40 riders, cycle more than 1,000km from Bundaberg to Brisbane, raising funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation burns unit in Brisbane.
A big thank you to Tony Chilcott from 99 Bikes Ipswich, who invited us to get involved in this incredible cause.
So, what do JetBlack and Blaze have in common?
We both love supporting cyclists riding for a great cause.
This year, JetBlack made a donation towards the fundraising auction, helping support a ride that raised an incredible $120,000 for children and families needing specialist burns care. They celebrated 20 years of the event this year, having raised a staggering 1.3 Million Dollars for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Leigh had a blast meeting the cyclists and Blaze at the very wet finish line in Brisbane, and cheering on the saturated riders after their huge 1,000km effort.
To everyone involved in Bike 4 Burn, the riders, volunteers, support crews and donors, thank you for making a difference and inviting JetBlack to be part of it.
