On Thursday we held our annual Elders Quairading 2 person ambrose day. Thanks so much to our amazing sponsors at Elders, Terry and Kaye, Gap, Leanne and Emma. The trophies were unreal!!

Nett winners of the day were Kelli Brown and Simon Haywood with 63.75.
Nett runners up were Rohan Hadlow and Carl Bowring on 64.25
Gross winners were Hamish Brown and Taylor Smith with 70.
Gross runners up were Braden Hayes and Graham McHenry on 72
Best placed limit markers were Graydon Bond and Rod Haythornthwaite
Runners up limit markers were Terry Andrews and Pete Campbell
Next years winners- Scott and Noah Bavin.

Thanks to all of the players for turning up and club members for everything that they do to make the day happen.

Moving on…. Ladies day- ✅.
Men’s day- ✅ Now we move on to the really fun day! Our annual Elders 2 person Ambrose day. Thanks to Terry, Kaye and the crew at Elders Quairading always a hoot of a day and Ambrose makes it enjoyable for all! Get yourself a partner and come and hit our beautiful course.

Yesterday the men played Par for the Ron Atkinson Memorial Trophy. The winner of the day was Eric (Min) Hayes who came in with a great score of +5. Runner up was Rohan Hadlow on square.
Winner of the ladies stableford competition was Di Wallwork on 41pts. Runner up Kelli Brown on 38pts.

To top off what was a fantastic day, president Stu presented Elaine Atkinson with Ron’s posthumous Life Membership of the Quairading Golf Club. A very special occasion for the family and super well deserved. Thank you to the family that came up to be around for this special event and to players and friends for coming and providing a scrumptious dinner.

On Saturday we honour the legend that was, Ron Atkinson by presenting Elaine and his family with his posthumous Life Membership of the Quairading Golf Club.
Everyone, men and ladies are welcome to come up for an afternoon of golf followed by a casserole tea to share and celebrate Ron.
All members who can come up, please bring a casserole to share.

What an absolutely fantastic weekend we’ve all just had up at Bolgart. 13 Quairading girls and 1 honorary Qdg girl (Annie Fowler) just participated in the annual AVLGA Championships.
The fun, the laughter, the camaraderie, the accommodation, the organisation was second to none. Could possibly have done without the freezing, wet weather on Saturday, but we survived! And we should really not complain about the rain -EVER!!

Hugest congratulations to Joy Hamilton of Bolgart for taking out top honours and coming away Avon Valley Association Ladies Champion. No longer the bridesmaid Joy 🤩 We are more than thrilled for you Joy.
Joy came in one shot ahead of Kelly Fulwood from Brookton who was then only 1 shot ahead of Robin Higgins from Gingin. A very tight competition indeed!

Our girls did alright too. Sharon Richards taking out best Saturday Gross.
Anne Johnson winning the Veterans competition on Sunday with 37points and also overall best Nett for the Sunday round.
And our big girls, Sharon Richards, Barb Bond, Anne Johnson and Di Wallwork, pulled together to take out the very prestigious Brenda Broun Shield for the 4 best gross scores across the weekend. Way to go ladies 💕👏🏻👏🏻
And of course, the Oscar goes to- Quairading, for the best skit. About time we got it back. 🤣👏🏻
Well done Bolgart Golf Club. You did such an amazing job. 💕

What a glorious day out on the Quairading course yesterday for our Men’s Quairading Earthmoving Co Dolin Cup and Mohaul 4BBB. And some brilliant scores were had but none better than Beverley teenager, Patrick Farr who came in with an amazing 62pts for the 27 holes (hitting a 69 off the stick for the last 18) whilst playing off a 5 handicap!! Well done Paddy. Big things ahead for you I think.
He was also second in gross to Chris Rawes, who finished with 58 gross pts. (Also hitting a 69 off the stick!)

Winners of the Mohaul 4BBB also with an amazing score, were Michael and David Cousins who combined super well to come in with 54 pts. Runners up were Patrick Farr and Jason Styles on 49 pts.
Winners of the gross were Chris Rawes and Davis Cliff with 34 pts.
