🌴 Hamilton Island 42km Change Race Results 🌴

What a day on the water!

Massive congratulations to both Pacific Dragons crews who took on the challenging 42km Change Race yesterday. It was a tough but fantastic course, with Hamilton Island serving up just about every weather condition possible. With 61 crews on the start line and strong competition across all divisions, it made for an epic day of racing.

👏 Senior Master Men (Reunion) - 9

• 6th in division

🥇 Mixed Open - 10
• 15th crew across the line
• 1st in division
• 1st mixed crew over the line
• Time: 3:48:20.3

One of the highlights of the day was the battle between our two crews. After 42 kilometres of racing, there was only 1 minute 50 seconds separating them at the finish! We swapped positions multiple times throughout the race, trading blows all the way around the course.

Close racing, great sportsmanship, and plenty of fun on the water.

Congratulations to everyone who paddled, steered, supported, and cheered from shore and back home. That’s what outrigger racing is all about! 🤙

🌴 Hamilton Island Around the Island OC6 Race – 16km Results 🌴

A huge congratulations to our crews who took on the iconic 16km Around the Island OC6 race at Hamilton Island today. Racing against some of the best crews from around Australia and beyond, with over 40 crews at the start line in each race. Our paddlers delivered some outstanding performances on the water.

• 12th crew across the finish line
• 5th Open Women Division (1st NSW crew)

🥉 Men Reunion
• 14th crew across the finish line
• 3rd Senior Master Men Division

💪 Men UNL
• 15th crew across the finish line
• 5th Open Men Division

Fantastic efforts from all paddlers, steerers and supporters. The Hamilton Island course always delivers a challenging mix of conditions, and every crew represented the club with determination, teamwork and pride.

Congratulations everyone on a great day of racing, and good luck for our Mixed UNL crew and Men’s Reunion Crew 42km changes race on Sunday with an expected 52 crews on the start line! 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️🌺

🌴🚣‍♂️ What a start to the Hamilton Island Outrigger Cup! Huge congratulations to all Pacific Dragons paddlers who powered through Day 1, taking on tough conditions and a highly competitive field with determination and grit. 🔥🐉

🏆 THE IRON CUP IS CALLING: HARBOUR RACING #2 🏆

Lock it in, paddlers! On Sunday, July 19, the 2026 PaddleNSW Harbour Racing Series is heading to the historic waters of La Perouse for Race 2: The Iron Cup!

Proudly hosted by the Pacific Dragons, this race takes us into the dynamic waters of Botany Bay. Expect stunning scenery, shifting conditions, and fierce competition across both our Long and Short courses.

👥 Calling all Crews & Doubles:
Remember, ALL paddlers must complete the event registration. That means both paddlers in a Double ski and every single asset in an OC3 or OC6 needs to be registered individually. Time to rally the squad and lock in your boat!

When: Sunday, July 19, 2026 (Check-in from 7:00 AM)

PDs are excited to be hosting the next race in the Harbour Series, our popular Iron Cup.
Come along on 19-July to La Perouse, all craft welcome!

Unfortunately, Race 2 of the Harbour Series, scheduled for 20 June, will not be going ahead as planned.

We know there was strong interest in a Wollongong-based race and appreciate the enthusiasm shown by paddlers. While we're disappointed not to be able to run the event this time, we're hopeful of bringing you this race—or something similar—in the future.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the host club and members of the race organising committee for the considerable time and effort they invested in planning the event. Their hard work and commitment are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming Harbour Series events.
