🥩28 Days Carnivore with my mum
🦴
The Carnivore diet is something I have wanted to try for a while. It has a lot of momentum in the world of nutrition and health. Doctors, dieticians, and nutrition coaches use the Carnivore diet to fight auto-immune diseases that many people battle with daily. Over time I have been conscious of what foods I react to and what promotes bloating, inflammation, digestive issues and flaring up of my psoriasis but have never been on a strict elimination protocol. Carnivore is precisely that!
🦴
So it's only animal products over the next 28 days, and im choosing to go light on the eggs and chicken. So that leaves me with mainly beef, lamb, and fish during this period. I will be consuming lots of fatty cuts of meat as it's important to balance protein and fat on the Carnivore. Lots of bone broth from chicken and beef and heaps of good quality Celtic salt to keep my electrolytes in harmony.
🦴
So why am I doing this?
- Reduce inflammation
- Clearing up my psoriasis on areas of the body
- Eliminate most foods and then build back from there
- Weight loss and water retention
- Improved sleep and brain function
- Get committed to something and share it
- Build the mental fortitude and discipline for some time.
I am excited, but I also like to test things and learn for myself rather than doing a bit of this and a bit of that. It's not for everyone, and by 28 days, I will get a good idea of where things are.
Let's go for it!🤗🏄♂️🤩
