Common signs include:

👉 Waking at 1–3 a.m and struggling to fall back asleep
👉 Heavier, shorter, or more unpredictable cycles
👉 Mood swings, irritability, or anxiety
👉 Brain fog or forgetfulness
👉 Hot flushes or night sweats
👉 Changes in body composition, even without changing exercise or food

If you know you have a few kg's you want to shift to feel better about yourself, I've got your back.

Sure, you can work on building muscle to increase your metabolism.

Fuel for performance.

Train to be strong.
..and the weight will eventually come off. (Probably).

But you could also knock over your fat loss in the next 8 weeks while doing all those things anyway.

I know which I'd prefer.

🧠 Cognitive Load Theory explains how our brains process and store information.

It says we only have a limited capacity in our working memory at any one time.

When there’s too much information — or too many things to think about — we hit overload 😵‍💫

This affects learning, decision-making, motivation… even workouts 🏋️‍♀️

For mums, the mental load of motherhood adds constant background pressure (schedules, meals, appointments, emotional labour, etc.). So when you add a workout on top of all that, it can feel way harder than it should — not because of your fitness level, but because of your full-to-the-brim brain 🧺

It's why crazy workout schedules and circuits with a million different exercises don't work for mums - it just all starts feeling too hard.

Mums need to train smarter not harder, and that means taking the mental load of motherhood into account with your programming.

If you're not doing this, you are making things harder for yourself than they need to be.
