TOP MALE CONTENDERS for the 2026 Hounslow Marathon presented by ASICS Australia 🏆
Some of Australia’s best male trail runners converging on one of the toughest, most spectacular Marathon course’s going 🔥
- Mike Carroll Mike Carroll is consistently among the best trail runners in Australia; when he is on he’s very hard to beat. Recently he came 2nd in 2026 Buffalo Stampede Festival SkyMarathon, 1st and CR in the Roller Coaster Run 2025 46km, and 1st in the Six Foot Track Marathon in 2025. We’re excited to see him take to the Hounslow trails, and watch him climb the house down!
- Piotr Babis Piotr Babis is based down in Tasmania and is no doubt a familiar name to many Australian trail running enthusiasts, setting huge FKT’s and dominating trail races. This year he’s come 4th at the Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB miler and had a strong win at the Kunanyi Mountain Run marathon 🔥
- Patrick Clark Patrick Clark has shown how incredible a runner he is in the shorter distances consistently. This year he’s placed 2nd at the Buffalo Stampede Festival 20km SkyRun and the Warburton Trail Festival Donna Double in two lightning fast races 💨 he’s one of the best uphill runners in Australia, we are pretty excited to see him tackle the marathon distance. The steep, long climbs of the back half of this course are well suited to Pat!
- Dom Bullock Dom is off the back of a win in the 80km distance at Sydney Ultra Marathon last year. He has some really impressive road times under his belt also, the speed and ability to go long is definitely there 👀
- Chris Lenkic has a great resume of results in some of Australia’s most competitive races. He’s won the Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB miler in 2023, 3rd in the Six Foot Track Marathon in 2024 and 3rd at the Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB miler in 2026. A class runner who could definitely be in contention for the podium!
- Harrison Flynn Harrison Flynn has had a roaring 2026, racing frequently and in strong fashion. He’s won the SingleTrack Running Wild Razorback 62km, Wilson’s Prom 15km and Wonderland 20km 🔥 he’s young, fit, and fast, look out.
