The next generation of Referees begins with introducing Gameleaders to referee Miniroo matches, where they can gain experience and confidence.
Never forget that they are just children, learning in a safe, non competitive environment, not the World Cup!

Female Football Week Appreciation 💜

Come chat all things pathway, experiences, and advice with Emma Kocbek, an Assistant Referee on our A-Leagues Mens competition and a FIFA & AFC Elite Assistant Referee.

We were lucky enough to have Emma present at our start of season seminar where she held a session on her experiences at the recent Women’s Asian Cup tournament.

We appreciate Emma for showing us her journey as a female referee from Nepean Football Association all the way to the top holding a FIFA badge. Behind the big smile are even bigger achievements.

Emma’s advice: take every opportunity you get because you never know where it could take you. 💜

Another month, another technical session. 📚
Taylah kicked off Female Football Week with hosting this month’s technical session! 💜

She began the session with presenting her experiences at the most recent Emerging Matildas Championships. Then with support from our other coaches Steve, Craig, Christian and Dion, Taylah created multiple stations of activities where our referees rotated through and were tested on some LOTG definitions, educated on positioning, polished up on flag work, and were able to show off their dissent management and deescalation methods.

We’re ready for another week out on the field! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️

A big thank you to ParramattaCity FC and Holroyd Rangers Soccer Club for supporting and hosting our referees for today’s FNSW State Cup fixtures.

Our referees did an amazing job managing these difficult games - congrats to those selected. Hope to have some more challenging games in 2 weeks time for Round 2 ⚽️
