80 Years of Sailing on the Parramatta River
Concord & Ryde Sailing Club (CRSC) has been sailing on the Parramatta River between Putney and Rhodes since 1945.
This season the Club has marked its 80th season β honouring the past, present and future of CRSC sailing and membership. Culminating in a special event at the end of the 80th season, CRSC will celebrate our fabulous family friendly Club and its association with the local communities.
We are greatly supported by grants and funding from state and federal government, local organisations, and council. Thanks to Ryde Council, Community Bank Epping Bendigo Bank, Ronstan, and our esteemed private benefactors. Local funding and support is essential to our not-for-profit Club which is run entirely by volunteers, so we can continue to provide opportunities for our members and our local community.
CRSC is the most western sailing Club on the Parramatta River. We have a healthy local membership, as well as members from the Blue Mountains, Hills District and the Inner West. It has a fabulous grassy rigging area, and a great outlook over Dame Edith Walker Estate at Concord.
We are located at Kissing Point Park, corner of Waterview St and Yaralla Rd Putney. Each Saturday afternoon from September to April, dinghy fleets take part in racing on the Parramatta River between Ryde Bridge and the Putney Punt.
At CRSC we sail Spirals, Herons, Catamarans, Moths, Optimists, Firebugs, Rainbows, Tasars and NS14s. Sailors of all skill levels are catered for, from beginners to State and National Champions.
The Club also has an active junior fleet and popular Learn to Sail program for young sailors and adults. Life jackets and dinghies used in training are provided by the Club. The Learn to Sail Courses are very popular, so please keep an eye on our website for when registrations open.
Whether you are an experienced sailor or have just been dreaming of becoming one, now is the time check out Concord & Ryde Sailing Club (CRSC).
