Our Chair Corina, Finance Director Fiona and Head Coach George attended the 2 day DBNSW Conference this weekend with 130 attendees.
The focus was on the growth of DB in NSW.

Club Growth and Retention was the focus of Ryder's session, where they joined Rainbow DBC to share practical insights, experiences, and ideas on building thriving clubs and keeping members engaged for the long term.

Dragon boating doesn’t just happen locally — it can take you all around the world 🌏🐉

For our club member Bridie, the sport has opened doors all the way to China, where she’s not only competing internationally, but also leading as the Female Captain of the Aurora's University team.

From local training sessions to representing her team overseas, Bridie’s journey is a reminder of the incredible opportunities dragon boating can create — lifelong friendships, leadership, travel, and unforgettable experiences.

We’re so proud to see our members achieving amazing things on and off the water. Go Bridie! 💪🚣‍♀️🇨🇳

And she’s off! Good luck in China 🇨🇳 Bridie is the female captain for inaugural Australian University Dragon Boat Team participating in the 2026 Asian University Dragon Boat Championship in Liaocheng, China from the 22nd–27th of May. Looking forward to hearing all about it on your return 🎉👏🏼💪🏼

It’s National Volunteers Week and we want to say a huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who help keep our club running.

Recently at our end of year celebration 🎉Serena🎉 was voted Volunteer of the Year but many were close runners up:

From fundraising efforts, working bees, and running school and community groups, to supporting our paddlers behind the scenes — your time, energy and commitment make such a difference.

👫A special shoutout to Kylie and Kim for always keeping the kids organised and on track (no small task!).

We’re also so grateful to all of our family and friends who volunteer at regattas, helping out and supporting the club every race day.

Our club simply wouldn’t be what it is without the amazing community of people who give their time so generously. Thank you for everything you do 👏🏻🫶🏽

On Saturday we held our end of season celebration, and it was so good to get everyone together to celebrate the season, the memories, and the people that make Ryders such a special club to be a part of.
